Unveiling my journey: Embracing the Hive community through blogging.

Hey everyone! I'm Flor Liz, an 18-year-old from the beautiful southern part of Cebu, Philippines. Right now, I'm diving into my first year of college, studying BSBA Financial Management in University of San Carlos . It's a whole new world for me, and I know I'll be facing a bunch of
firsts along the way.

This journey is a bit tricky for me, though. Growing up in a broken family means my mom isn't around, and my dad, though a great guy, is super busy. So, I spend a lot of time at home flying solo. It's tough not having someone there to help and support me through all the ups and downs, but I'm trying to be strong and brave through it all.

Now, let's talk about the fun stuff! I love sharing bits of my life through blogging, especially when it comes to hanging out with my friends. We're big on cycling, exploring places on our bikes, and just soaking in the moments together. Traveling is another passion of mine, whether it's nature trips, chilling on beaches, or soaking up the vibes in cities. I usually do these adventures with friends and cousins, but deep down, I wish my family could join in too. It would be amazing to create those memories with them. Sports and games are also big on my list.

I enjoy playing volleyball and badminton, and there's something about the strategic game of chess that I find really captivating. Then there's the artistic side – singing, dancing, and doodling sketches. Art has a special place in my heart. Oh, and there's this cooking thing I'm itching to dive into. i also love to share my fashion styles my outfits and fits in every moment, i just love to look good with the clothes i wear every single day, i feel like i can be more confident on investing in my own style that people can be inspired to be with themselves on what they want to wear and be confident with their own fashion. I imagine it would be so cool to whip up delicious meals or bake some treats. The dream is to share these creations with you all here in our little community.

Sure, not having my family around for all these activities is a bit of a downer, but I'm keeping the hope alive that one day, we'll get to do these things together. For now, I'm navigating the challenges, enjoying the adventures, and looking forward to connecting with all of you in this virtual space. Life's a journey, and I'm ready for the ride!

Discovering HIVE felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure, all thanks to my cousin @seetshin @heyitsjian @missbebeth who eagerly introduced me to this captivating world of self-expression through blogging. Excitement bubbled within us as we decided to make the journey from Minglanilla to Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu on December 8, 2023, eager to attend an orientation that promised to unravel the secrets of the HIVE community. As we arrived, the people of Tabogon welcomed us with open arms, their genuine smiles and warm hospitality creating an immediate sense of belonging. It was more than just an orientation; it was an immersion into a community that genuinely cared about connecting with newcomers like us.

Before diving into the intricacies of HIVE, the locals went out of their way to ensure our comfort. A feast awaited us, filled with tantalizing delights like the irresistible banana cue and refreshing coconut juice. The flavors were not only a treat for our taste buds but also a testament to the generosity of the Tabogon residents, who treated us like cherished guests.

Amidst the shared meals and laughter, the hivers took the stage, introducing us to the heart of their community. These weren't just guides through the technicalities of HIVE; they were storytellers, sharing their personal journeys and emphasizing the genuine connections fostered within the platform.

The hivers weren't just instructors; they were mentors, passionately guiding us through the features of HIVE and encouraging us to embrace the platform as more than just a blogging space. It became clear that HIVE was a thriving ecosystem, a place where individuals weren't just bloggers but members of a supportive family.

The orientation wasn't a dry instructional session; it was a vibrant exchange of experiences. Everyone, from seasoned hivers to wide-eyed newcomers like us, shared stories, creating an inclusive atmosphere where every voice was valued. It wasn't just about learning the ropes; it was about becoming part of a tapestry woven with diverse threads of thoughts and ideas.

As the day unfolded, we not only absorbed valuable insights into HIVE but also connected on a personal level with the warm-hearted people of Tabogon. Gratitude filled our hearts as we left, carrying not just the knowledge to navigate HIVE but also a sense of belonging to a community that celebrated individuality and collaboration.

The journey that began as a quest to understand a blogging platform evolved into a discovery of genuine connections and shared passions. Leaving Tabogon, we were not just equipped with the tools to contribute to HIVE, but with a deep appreciation for the human touch that makes this community truly extraordinary.
