Joining Steemit : It's a jungle out there , the trials and tribulations of a South African rabbit

Shouts echoed down the busy street.

Susan dared a peak out from the bush and when the coast was relatively clear, slowly crawled out on all fours.  She had to blend in as much as the could. A lion roared a few paces down the road and with it came a few hundred meerkat followers jumping up and down rejoicing that their king had arrived.

When the woman deemed it safe enough she made a dash for it. As she glanced back, all she could see before turning the corner was a luscious mane swirling along with its head, glistening in the rays of the South African sun.  Some more supportive screams followed.

Bloody  Lions.

Always strutting into the city like they owned the damn place.  It was your typical day in Predatorville. Public speeches, riots, disgruntled citizens voicing their concerns about this and that.

But today was extra special. Today was the day of the presidential elections. The Meerkat's went bat-shit crazy over their leader while other creatures such as the Zebra's stood single-filed, ready to cast their vote for freedom and independence.

It was to be a glorious day. History in the making!

But not for Susan the local, crazy rabbit. She had other matters to attend to...

Home was calling her name, more specifically Steemit.  Yes, it was fate in the making. By chance she had stumbled upon the crumpled up advert and glanced at its contents. Any sort of income was welcome. The opportunity  was just too great to pass up.

So there Susan stood, a few minutes later, safari all around, including a few items that she could call her own, and determination oozing from her very being.

She was ready to post relevant, factual information about the elections for the day.  All she had to do now was generate electricity for her make-shift PC. To the side of it stood a bicycle mounted into the ground. With pride Susan glanced at her trusty companion. Attached to it was a cord leading up to a generator she bought last month. The generator in return was hooked up to the PC.  She climbed on and started pedaling.  A park shot down the cord making her squeal in excitement when the monitor switched on.

"Yes! Yesterday I was able to type the post and save it. But today I'll be able to send the post!" That statement alone cheered her on. She pedaled even harder.

It was a harsh life not being able to afford the standard luxuries of life but Susan would just have to manage.

Another spark and a squeal.

"Steemit here I come!"

Well that's all from me. Hope you enjoyed my random introduction :D  More random adventures of Susan to follow!
