I cant wait to meet like-minded individuals and hope to build a long lasting friendship not just here on steemit!
But first, allow me to introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Hallie!
I love horses, books and motorcycles.
And this is where I live...
(Also the home of the WORLDS longest Zipline over water)
Ofcourse, with my family! Cant stand being apart from them.
We spend all our holidays....birthdays together.
On this lovely paradise.
And in my free time, I'd like to fish...with my big brother!!! he gets the biggest catch....as always.
Compare to mine.
I worry if you could see the fish properly....but If you look very closely, I actually got one.
And its right on my face.
Its small but dont underestimate me my friend, I'm diligent and could multiply that in a hundredth that could equal my big brothers value too!
So I pretty much got all I need here. I love seafood. And seafood is here.
Btw, this is my beloved nephew.
My assistant and support! As he also loves to fish....
like his super hot aunt. ;-)
SEAFOOD IS LIFE.
This is a Philippine lobster.
And I'm sorry to disappoint you, this kilo right here could be pricey :-D
The price could range from P1,500 to P2,000 a kilo and the lowest is P400.00.
Or! $29 to $28 US DOLLARS
But I assure you its all worth it later on...
Served with a lemon butter sauce...if you get the picture!
Every other day, we go to our friends cottage to see what they got after a day or two from the sea. And its always like this!
FEAST YOUR EYES.
Each catch varies from shrimps, fish, turtle to lobster and etc.
Ofcourse. Who would eat a turtle, right? Not me!
My friend once captured a turtle in his catch and immediately put it back in the water after treating his wounds.
So I guess its safe to say, we don't support the catching and poaching of turtles not just in this area but anywhere in the world to preserved its kind from extinction.
Okay to refrain myself from too much seafood.
There are various of food trips to enjoy and experience.
Like the native dishes.
NOM NOM NOM NOM!
The most popular Filipino noodle dish Pansit, with Suman, rice cake and Macaroni salad. HEAVEN.
Sio-mai or Shumai in Chinese is my all time favorite snack!...nothing can beat it.
Traditionally originated from China centuries ago and has since been a part of the Filipino cuisine as it mixed with its own style that is now called Siomai.
Halo-halo.
One of the best local drink and best served during the summers to refresh your senses from the heat!
And as you satisfy yourself with these delicacies...NEXT is giving yourself a tour.
Discover its history.
And explore its curves and natural beauty.
My usual weekend routine would be cooling down at its riverside...with my lovely sister and best friend.
Or take a walk along the woods and the roads...Just overlooking the green fields.
With my best friend Marie relaxing ourselves from the days work...
Just refreshing.
Just a few miles from home....lies a secret infinity pool.
Everybody is welcome!!!
....IF the owner is not around :-D:-D:-D
Just kidding, the fees are needed for the maintenance so I concur with the fees!
When life gets boring...I'd like to challenge myself and dive with these kids from the tip of the bridge and feet down. Hold your breath and exhale.......It would help. Or if you can't beat fear.... just do it scared!
And my swimming routine ends here.
Let'me give you a little bit of its history like The Stingray Memorial Park.
Its in this very place in 1944 WWII where the first successful landing took place....the USS Stingray SS-186 Submarine surfaced off Mayraira Point.
Covertly unloaded and supplied the Filipino civilians and guerrillas 15 tons of weapons in defense against the Japanese.
To acknowledged its victory, many lives were lost....but Its in this region where the first liberation from the Japanese were achieved by its fierce fighting and bravery.
Today Windmill farms are all over the place to make use of its strong winds.
And my introductory post ends here! :-D
Thank you for reading!
Dont forget to UPVOTE!
And I'll follow you!
Plus I could give you a FREE tour and accommodations if you'd come and visit the place! :-D My treat!
Besides, I love meeting new friends.
Expect me to post more about history and my travels soon! My two favorite subjects.
I hope you enjoyed it!
Till next time.
