Hello, lovely Hivers! On this platform, I go by my new moniker as @daenerhys. This username is deeply personal to me, as it was inspired by the light and hope that emerged from the loss and challenges I've faced as my life goes by. I'm a twenty-three-year-old Senior High School student, taking a General Academic Strand at Ilihan Integrated School in Ilihan, Tabogon, Cebu, Philippines.

Many of them said that I don't even look like exactly at my age because I have a baby face.😁 I'm just an average type person, with average height which is 5'2 feet. I'm also a proud mother of two adorable little ones(my eldest is 2 years old and the youngest is already 11 months). In fact, I'm balancing my studies with the joys and responsibilities of being a mother.

Get to know me more!

My roots are in Lapu-lapu City, Cebu, but life took a turn at my young age, my family faced hardship when my father suffered from a stroke. It was really hard to see that my mother almost give up, because of our situation. To support our daily needs especially for school projects, me and my siblings became a scavenger at the dumpsite near at Mactan Economic Processing Zone (MEPZ) located at Lapu-lapu City, Cebu. But, living in a city doesn't do us any favors, it only makes our lives more and more difficult. We were forced to sell our home and also give up our "tindahan"(a Filipino term for mini store selling variety of goods) whom my father taken care of for how many years before he got a stroke, and relocating to my mother's province at Catmon, Cebu, Philippines, where we started anew, turning fields into corn farms. Me and my siblings got separated, because they choose to stay in the city to find job while studying.

It was a tough transition, and I found myself shouldering responsibilities to help support my family in the province. Over the years, I have faced numerous challenges, particularly as a working student. I gained a true understanding of the harsh realities of life when I took on the role as a dishwasher in the eatery owned by the Pastor of Bethel Bible Baptist Church in our local barangay. Each day, I earned 130 pesos and would give 100 pesos to my mother to purchase 2kg of yellow corn rice from the public market. I would then keep the remaining thirty pesos to buy snacks from the school canteen during recess. This thirty pesos was enough to last me for a week of classes, as I only spent five pesos each day.

Each day I've realized how important to work hard to earned every penny for survival in our daily lives. Actually, a life-altering accident happen last 2016 and I'm in the verge of comatose, I had to stop my studies and focus on recovery. Dealing with physical and emotional, I found myself struggling with insecurities and financial difficulties. After my recovery, I managed to find a sideline job to support my family. But, heated argument with my brother led to another traumatic experience, but with the support of my sister and the guidance of my current live in partner, I was able to find stability and hope.

During the pandemic, I took the opportunity to continue my education through the ALS program, ultimately graduating from Junior High School and advancing to Senior High School. My live in partner, with whom I've shared nearly six years, has been an unwavering source of support and strength, especially during times of hardship. Despite the challenges, I've found strength and resilience within me. As a student, I've embraced leadership roles, during my free time I write secretly on Wattpad, and found solace in reading during trying times.

Exploring Passions, Interests, and Hobbies

Beyond my academic pursuits, I'm a passionate writer, a plant enthusiast, and a culinary aficionado. Writing has always been my outlet for expressing unspoken thoughts. When my mind fills with turmoil, reading serves as my refuge. Cooking brings me joy, especially when I see my partner and sons enjoying the dishes I prepare.
