About us both and our Project

“Aloha to Om“ is a family project. Elisa and Pawel, we both, are a German/Polish couple. After more than 15 years in Berlin, living the rather normal city lives of lawyer and osteopath, we wished for a life more in touch with nature and the ocean - which was turned into reality on the Island of São Miguel after the birth of our son Henry.
We are passionate yogis, surfers and movement enthusiasts and are in the process of building a guesthouse where we will offer a warm and friendly atmosphere to happy guests from all over the world in the future. This project is called "Aloha to Om".

ABOUT SÃO MIGUEL

Azores – „Hawaii of the Atlantic“

São Miguel really lives up to the winged word treasure island. In the midst of the Atlantic Ocean, yet only a few hours flight from the European continent, the Azores – often called the “Hawaii of the Atlantic” - boast characteristics that are rarely found today: pristine subtropical nature with a great variety of exotic flora, crystal clear dark blue sea, black volcanic coast and black sand beaches, breathtaking light with intense rainbows, no crime, diseases or mosquitoes, and a friendly, warmhearted population. São Miguel is the island for nature lovers, ideal for swimming in the mild sea and in the hot volcanic springs, hiking with unique views, surfing on world class waves, whale and dolphin watching, and so much more...

The Azores have been awarded among the 10 top regions of the world by the Lonely Planet in the year of 2017

The Azores have been the first and only destination in Europe to receive the Platinum QualityCoast Award, which counts as the highest international award for sustainable tourism. Also, the Azores are among the top 100 sustainable destinations in the world.

The approximately 60 kilometers long and 16 kilometers wide island of São Miguel has just under 150,000 inhabitants. In addition to the rising tourism, the island lives mainly from the cultivation of fruit, especially pineapple, and tea.

The Blockchain and Crypto Currency world is total new to us, but thanks @LotusFleur and @freiheit50 we are here now on the Steemit platform and we are looking forward to show you our project, the construction work and the Azores in the future.

SOBRE SÃO MIGUEL

Açores - "Hawaii of the Atlantic" (Havai do Atlântico)

(https://www.lonelyplanet.com/travel-tips-and-articles/best-in-travel-2017-top-10-regions/40625c8c-8a11-5710-a052-1479d276851c).
