With the city map of Frankfurt

With a population of just under 700,000, Frankfurt am Main is by far the largest city in Hesse. Although Frankfurt am Main is Germany's largest financial metropolis, the city occupies only 5th place on the size scale in Germany. Despite this size or because of that, the city also offers some very nice sights.

How do I get into town?

Frankfurt is surrounded by Germany's largest motorways, the A5 in the west and the A3 in the south. These are connected by the A661 motorway via the Offenbach intersection to the Bad Homburger Kreuz from east to north. They meet in the southwest at Germany's most important motorway junction, the Frankfurter Kreuz. This means that Frankfurt am Main is easily accessible by car.
Most of them will probably drive from the Westkreuz via the A648 to Frankfurt to visit the Frankfurt trade fair centre in the west of the city. Especially in this access road the Frankfurt skyline impresses with a wonderful view of the numerous skyscrapers that have become available in the meantime. Most of these belong to the banks, as you can easily recognize by the illuminated panels and logos in the height. One of the few exceptions is the Messeturm and the almost opposite Marriott Hotel.

Some places of interest!

The Frankfurt Festhalle is located at the Messeturm and was completed in 1908. Since then, many different events have been held here. If we follow the route into the Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage, we see on the left-hand side the Frankfurter Westendviertel and after crossing the Mainzer Landstraße we come to the Frankfurt main station. Numerous hotels are grouped around them. One of the most famous streets, Kaiserstraße, runs parallel to Mainzer Landstraße in the direction of the city centre from Frankfurt to Hauptwache. From here it is not far to the old opera house in a northerly direction or south to Paulskirche and Frankfurt's Römer. To the east, we hardly reach Frankfurt's shopping mile, the Frankfurt Zeil. Frankfurt's city centre shines with a multitude of narrow streets and alleys, which are mostly one-way streets. A Frankfurt city map is indispensable for inexperienced drivers in Frankfurt City. If you have time, you should park your car in front of the city and come to the city by public transport. Buses, trams and subways, everything is available and leads stress-free to all important destinations scattered throughout the city.
