We are on day nine of the #inktober hash tag game. I've found 117 entries on PeakD.com so far. I did not include links that looked too spammy.
For example. This link looks super spammy. The opening image is a banner with the word "pressure" being squeezed by a clamp. What type of drawing is that? Does the person who created this image really think that it qualifies for the "pressure" prompt?
Well, since I am the person who created it. i guess I could try to explain myself.
I would really like to master SVG. SVG is a human readable vector language. The way one masters a language is by using it. I created the image by manually coding the SVG.
This is the SVG file . The graphic should scale with the width of your browser. If you go to the page and right-clicked the page and selected "View Source" you will see the SVG that I wrote to create the image. It is all nice little lines of SVG commands. It is mostly the PATH statement with a few CIRCLEs.
Yes, I sat at my desk staring at the screen and positioned each element in the picture by hand. I admit, I drew one screw thread and copied and pasted the thread to make 20 threads. The process involved me using my brain to imagine a shape then using the SVG path statement to render the shape. IMHO: The process involved enough brain to qualify as a #proofofbrain post.
Because InkTober wants people to draw with Ink, I created the bottom image with prismacolor pencils and india ink.

It looks like there 32 accounts creating Inktober images. These folks have generated 177 images and wracked up over $1,500 in curation rewards. The average is $13.00. Of course half of the money goes to the curators. But it is better than a poke in the eye with a stick.
