Hello everyone

Welcome to my latest blog, I am covering an part story form my life when I explored Mumbai city of dreams. In the last blog I have covered Mumbai's marine lines and girgaon chaupati, which was not actually a big exploration but though it is worth a place to visit. So let's continue our story......

This time we are going to visit kala ghoda fest in churchgate. After visiting the marine lines my friends and I was looking for some new and fun places to visit so we figured that we should go for places which we have never visited because the app gane us an quite good information about the places mentioned in the app. So when we were looking into the list we made our own favourite list of places present in western line of mumbai, amongst the apps list and we came across an fest called as kala ghoda fest well known for it's art displayed in the fest.

So what is this fest? Is it a art display event in an art gallery named kala ghoda? or Is it an festival of native mumbai people(kholi's) where they display their culture and art. What was it? These were the questions in our minds but the truth is it was an art display made out of waste material like DVD's, computer wires, shattered glass, etc. on an entire street of Mumbai in churchgate called as kala ghoda and there was a statue of an black horse(called kala ghoda in hindi) to make the street identify as kala ghoda.

The fest was quite awesome as many waste material art were displayed, music was there on the street, many wall art were there on the walls on sides, few optical illusion paintings and arts were also there created by entirely waste. The best attraction was kala ghoda monument created by waste and damaged computer parts, and even local vendors were allowed to sell their products which made it more like fair(mela) and the availability of snacks and refreshments made it more like it. Having art displayed, live music, shopping, snacks all of these things on an street of Mumbai made it worth to visit.

That's it for today friends, if you ever come to Mumbai in the winter season do plan to visit the kala ghoda fest, until next time this is @furiousboy signing off for the day.
