The Last Performance before COVID-19 Lockdown!

Today I am just a little low.
I am missing jamming, rehearsing, practicing with my band.
I am missing playing live shows.
I am missing my team.

The live music and events industry has surely suffered due to coronavirus and it doesn't look like there will be concerts anytime soon.
Some reports say that there won't be any large gatherings and live performances for 2 years!
This is just really sad for someone who regularly performs and loves the stage. 😑

So today I spent going through some of the old pics, photos, rehearsal videos and live performances.

I would like to share with you guys videos of the last live performance we did this year - on 13th Feb 2020.
The footage is from GoPro cameras we had placed at the venue.
So I had to get creative while editing the videos.

Fortunately, the audio recording of the show came out great.

So here they are:

1. Jhelumas : Alif | Live at G5A, Mumbai

This song is in Kashmiri language. It talks about the river Jhelum as a metaphor for the emotions of Kashmiri women.

If you are interested in the official video of this song - click here.

2. Shoshe Ka Chashma : Alif | Live at G5A, Mumbai

This song is in Urdu language and talks about how one has to be good at selling themselves to get noticed. How everything is just a show nowadays.

In case you were wondering, I am on the keyboards :)

If you want to hear more of my band Alif - you can follow our Spotify Artist Page.

I just hope I can go back to performing live with my band soon. 🤞🏽
Till then, wherever you are, stay safe, stay strong.

Thank you for stopping by! ✨
