You continued south along the tunnel for quite a while before taking a break from some lunch. Another food cube and at this point you were getting rather tired of them. You wish there was some wood or something in the cave so you could attempt to smoke them to add some flavor. There was nothing like that around.

Afterward, you got up and started walking again. You spent the rest of the day walking south with nothing but the normal surrounding of caves. It was a bit odd you did not find any other paths leading you in other directions however were far too tired to think long on that thought.

Sleeping on the cave ground was not going to be the most comfortable place to sleep. You however had no choice. This far into the cave as well it was not like you could pile up some snow for a pillow or anything.

The best you could do was to try and find a mostly dry spot and sleep there. On occasion, you would hear some water dripping from above you. You slowly started counting those drips down from 100 before you were asleep.

As soon as you were out cold your wristwatch light turned off on its own. It would remain that way till you awake a few hours later with a stiff back from sleeping on rocky ground. It at least stayed mostly dry while you were resting in that spot.

You took yet another food cube out of a slow supply of them. Without having a ship anymore you were hoping you would find something on this planet that you could restock your food with. It’s been somewhat strange no matter how many different little areas you find there rarely is any kind of food.

You did not dwell on that thought too much as before you knew it you were back on your feet walking till around lunchtime. That is when the tunnel started to turn east and you were somewhat hopeful there would be a way out at some point.

By midafternoon you took a short break to give your feet a rest. They were starting to feel the coldness by now. What you would not give for a warm fire.

After a much-needed break, you got up again and walked for a few more hours. You then had to cover your eyes as the light from the outside was coming in through quite a tiny hole in some snow. While the sun was starting to set you had gotten used to it being so dark with only the light from your wristwatch.

You decided since it was warmer and dryer in the cave to spend one final night in it. In the morning you would work out how to make a wide enough open to get out and see where things take you.

It must have been the fresh smell of the outside air that made that night’s food cube so enjoyable. You were getting rather tired of the cave and the thick layer of mud that was slowly starting to take over your spacesuit from all the crawling around and squeezing through spaces you had been doing.

In the morning you were so eager to get started and leave the cave you skipped eating breakfast. You quickly walked up to the cave’s mouth and started removing the snow that was blocking the way out. It seemed there must have been some kind of avalanche that covered the entrance to the cave in the first place.

Once you had removed enough of the snow to fit though you made it out. You took in a deep breath of the fridge air and rejoiced at no longer being in a cave. As you did so you headed the sound of snow rolling down the mountain. It was another avalanche.

You ran as fast as you could get away. You however were not quite quick enough. You got slightly swept up in some of the snow. Thankfully it only covered you up to your knees after pushing you forward by a few hundred feet.

The entrance to the cave was now entirely lost under a bunch of snow. There was nothing worth going back into that cave for anyways. It was time to work out exactly where you were and what else you could explore.

After walking for a bit you noticed there seemed to be another cave off to the east to explore, you could also head back north over all the area you ended up skipping while in the cave. Finally, you could head south in search of something new.
