Day3, Saramacadoorsteek

Hey guys,
today I've had a really good day. The most exciting part was in the afternoon because I went on a trip with my lovely mom and sweet sister. We didn't know where we would go, the only thing we knew was that we should go on a long drive. My mother was driving and came with an idea of going to a bridge that isn't long ago opened. My sister and I liked her idea and we went to that "new" bridge. After passing the bridge we went to the SARAMACADOORSTEEK. The Saramacadoorsteek is a canal which is dug around 1786 and it connects the Suriname-river with the Saramaca-river.
As you can see here in the first picture, this is the place where the Suriname-river and the Saramacadoorsteek meet. A really good felling to be there, the salty water and the wind, perfect for spending the afternoon there.

This is a place where some fisher- and a lot of pontoon boats come to mooring. Today there were 3 of the pontoon boats! (only 2 to see in this pic :( )

There is also a sluice! Here you can go from one side of the canal to the other side.
We really had a good time with each other by talking and laughing. We also shoot some great photos!

We could not be any longer there because of the lockdown from 19:00 to 5:00, so we had to go! Before we took of... I saw the moon and I am more like a Selenophile-type a person. So I had to take this photo with the moon on it. Isn't it beautiful?😍
