I haven't been to a MOVIE THEATER since 2009 or 2010 when the first Avatar movie came out, I was a guest of a relative who is a quadriplegic, so by the time we got him loaded ate then got to the theater, all the tickets for the 3D were sold out, so we watched it in 2D. Since then, I've seen it several times with and without adverts but never in 3D YEARS ago, like in 1968 a 3D movie came to the small town walk in theater in my hometown, it was Frankenstein, and the glasses we were given were paper with two color lenses, different in either eye. I got NO sense of 3D, but people around me were cringing when bats (they said) flew out of the screen at us. Of all things, my printed ticket didn't work, luckily I was able to access my email, but the ticket booths were all closed, and I had to go to the concession stand for my ticket. Dirty trick if you ask me. I had eaten so I had no desire for any more food. The showing was at 12:05 pm (supposedly) so I walked around checking out the posters and stuff first ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmZtNYEGkwkK5TUtTPDaVYih6kLMyaW36ToXv2PKexiFN2/image.png) I went into the actual theater, and there was no one there; I had da place to myseffuses. Once the sound of music etc started I went in and took a seat, one which I thought would give me the best experience. I choose well, BUT the actual movie didn't start until almost 12:30pm: the rest of the time was filled with a seemingly ENDLESS stream of adverts (exactly what I see on Network Broadcast TV... my god you can't get away from them) several spots where inane pseudo actors doing interview bits, repeats of adverts, repeats of movie previews... I was PISSED by the time the show actually began. Once the movie "Avatar 2, the Way of Water" began, I'd had my glasses on for quite some time. My theory was that perhaps it would allow both hemispheres of my brain to acclimate. I don't know, but the 3D effects were aMAZing! ___ The First Avatar movie, was almost taken from the pages of American History, where the White man came in and TOOK what he wanted from the indigenous peoples, who simply could not withstand the superior firepower, and the diseases. If it hadn't been for the "[Jake Sully](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake_Sully#:~:text=Olo'eyktan%20Jake%20Sully%2C%20or,Avatar%2C%20created%20by%20James%20Cameron.)" character, I would have been suicidally ashamed to be a human near the end of that movie. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmV7bRih45NDG5yiHGR5hLTCYLmMeUFabe8tipACASYYcY/image.png) ^{↑Wikipedia license image↑} [Sam Worthington](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Worthington) did a fantastic job in both movies, as did the other actors So today, the movie was about the return of "The Sky People" to Pandora, really coming in force with one of the main objectives; to catch the renegade Earth man.
