On August 27, 1991, one of the best rock albums in the history of music, as well as an essential part of the Grunge music genre, was released as Ten by the band Pearl Jam. It was the first studio album and one of the band's biggest hits. Adding very characteristic elements, such as the peculiar voice of Eddie Vedder, vocalist of the band and the perfect mix of guitars, bass and drums.

For me the album Ten is my favourite album and I deserve to listen to it all, from the first track to the last, it's one of those musical gems that you never get bored of. This album is 30 years old, the same age I am, and I remember the first day when I was only 7 years old, I listened to one of the first tracks of Pearl Jam's album Ten, and from that point on I never stopped listening to it.

Un 27 de agosto de 1991, se lanzó uno los mejores álbumes de rock en la historia de la música, como también parte esencial del género musical Grunge, dicho álbum se titula como Ten del grupo musical Pearl Jam. Fue el primer disco de estudio y unos de mayores éxitos de la banda. Agregando elementos muy característicos, como la peculiar voz de Eddie Vedder, vocalista de la banda y la mezcla perfecta de las guitarras, bajo y batería.

Para mí el álbum Ten, es de mi preferencia y es merecido escucharlo todo, desde el primer track hasta el último, es de esas joyas musicales de nunca aburrirse. Este disco cumplió 30 años de existencia, la misma edad que tengo, y recuerdo el primer día cuando apenas tenía 7 años, escucho unos de los primeros temas musicales casualmente del álbum Ten de Pearl Jam, desde este punto fue de nunca dejarlo escuchar.

To go into the historical context of this album, we should mention that previously all the members of Pearl Jam except vocalist Eddie Vedder, were part of the legendary Grunge precursor band Mother Love Bone but, after the death of the vocalist of that band, the other members decided to form Pearl Jam, after finding the magnificent voice of Vedder, who lived in faraway California - United States. For the fact that both Mother Love Bone and Pearl Jam are mostly from Seattle, cradle of most Grunge bands. The album, Ten, was released on Epic Records, with a running time of just over 53 minutes. Recorded in a Seattle studio between March and April 1991.

At the beginning this album was not so successful, but little by little it was gaining recognition, as well as competition from the release of other enigmatic Grunge albums, such as Nirvana's Nevermind. But even Ten is among the top 500 albums in musical history, according to Rolling Stone magazine, and Pearl Jam was recently inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.

Para entrar en contexto histórico sobre este álbum, debemos mencionar que anteriormente todos los integrantes de Pearl Jam menos el vocalista Eddie Vedder, formaban parte de la legendaria banda precursora del Grunge Mother Love Bone pero, luego de la muerte del vocalista de dicha banda, los demás integrantes decidieron formar Pearl Jam, luego de encontrar la magnífica voz de Vedder, quien vivía en la lejana California - Estados Unidos. Por el hecho que tanto Mother Love Bone y Pearl Jam son mayormente de Seattle, cuna de las mayorías de bandas de Grunge. El disco Ten, se lanzó bajo la discográfica Epic Records, con una duración un poco más de 53 minutos. Grabado en un estudio de Seattle entre los meses de marzo y abril de 1991.

Al principio este disco no tuvo tanto éxito, pero poco a poco fue obteniendo el debido reconocimiento, como también tener la competencia de lo sería el lanzamiento de otros de los discos enigmáticos del Grunge, tal como lo fue Nevermind de Nirvana. Pero incluso Ten, se encuentra entre los 500 mejores álbumes de toda la historia musical, según la revista Rolling Stone, y como otro dato que Pearl Jam fue incluido recientemente en el Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.

Among the most important singles of this album are Alive, Even Flow, Oceans, Jeremy and Black, but in general when you listen to the album, all the tracks are very good and relaxing, although with very deep lyrics and also a bit dark in their content. For example the song Jeremy, which is based on the true story of Jeremy Wade, a student who committed suicide in front of his classmates, as is also shown in the video clip of the song, the rest of the songs have themes of depression, loneliness and suicide.

It is undoubtedly one of those albums, which for me is a lot of energy, it makes you enjoy a good lyrical and musical composition, it is that sound that makes us all vibrate with emotion, as well as fills us with nostalgia when listening to it. It is 30 years and more, that this music remains in history, in the memory of all those who like this music and what will still know the next generations in humanity.

Entre los sencillos más importantes de este álbum, se encuentra Alive, Even Flow, Oceans, Jeremy y Black, pero en general cuando escuchas el disco, todos los temas son muy buenos y relajantes, aunque con letras muy profundas y también un poca oscuras por su contenido. Como por ejemplo el tema Jeremy, que se basa en la historia real de Jeremy Wade, estudiante que se suicidó delante de sus compañeros de clases, como también se muestra en el videoclip de la canción, de resto las canciones tienen temáticas desde la depresión, la soledad y el suicidio.

Es sin duda uno de esos discos, que para mí es mucha energía, hace que uno deguste de una buena composición lírica y musical, es de ese sonido que hace que todos vibremos de la emoción, como también nos llena de nostalgia cuando se escucha. Son 30 años y más, que esta música queda pñasmado en la historia, en el recuerdo de todos los que gustan de esta música y lo que aún conocerá las próximas generaciones en la humanidad.
