HiveFest6 Impressions

Hello everyone!

I will briefly, maybe a bit late, but with a lot of pictures, round up and generalize my vision of HiveFest6, which ended on Saturday and was again in AltspaceVR virtual reality.

I was present at last year's HiveFest5 and this year's HiveFest6. I have to commend @roelandp (and the whole team behind him) who once again went to great effort to make sure everything was ready on time and that the event ran smoothly.

Again, like last year, I have no comments but I am impressed. For me, a very interesting VR experience, or Metaverse, is now a buzzword.
I'm just waiting for Google, Twitter, and Microsoft to explain what this is supposed to be, Facebook has already said its piece.

Well, we at Hive have known what it is since last year and we are slowly, with small steps, making progress into this additional world, which is currently more empty.

Into which, as far as I understand things, all this capital that has been accumulated on the Internet, which they didn't know what to do with, with the profits of the covid crisis and the interests and actions of the corporations, is going to be redirected.

But there will be new players, small decentralized and secured Web3 communities with all their blockchains. Ugh, it's going to be fun ...

Coming back to HiveFest6, there were over 30 presentations of activities taking place in the Hive social network over the two days.

There is a lot of stuff, ideas, and new projects going on, so it's quite hard for one blogger to keep track of all the news just on the Hive blockchain or anywhere else.

Looking back at HiveFest5, which somehow framed this year's activities, I can say that the Hive social network is still very much alive, that some of last year's activities have been surpassed, and that new and strong communities with a vision (Hive.Pizza, for example, HivePunks, etc...) have already emerged, which didn't even exist last year.

The trend with almost all speakers is DeFi, farming and staking, and NFT tokens. Almost every community has this in their plans, from Pizza, to Gamers, up to Skaters.

Connecting and collaborating with developers and communities is the main motto, and the users who demand it are the change generators.

In short, development in Hive is looking good, it's not stopping, it's moving forward, even faster than last year. Which is only good for all of us.

And we can look to the future with confidence because Hive has everything the greats have.

See you next year!
