GetBlock x Hive : Providing Hive Node Services, Presenting at HiveFest, and a HIVE Giveaway

GetBlock recently announced they are now providing Hive node availability as part of their API connection services.

Hive's decentralized network is supported by many full public nodes that are provided free of charge by community members to serve the ecosystem, but there are also some real benefits to a la carte RPC services that balance well with our existing public infrastructure. While many small projects are served well by public nodes, many choose to explore spinning up their own for better performance and this can have a very steep learning curve! Our ecosystem provides a large opportunity for managed node services, and GetBlock has stepped up to meet the challenge. Depending on what a project actually needs, GetBlock's paid services allow for connection to a semi-private node that has controlled traffic levels, offers all plugins, and is set up and maintained 24/7 by a professional team, which means developers and project managers can focus on building instead of server management.

Accessibility to Hive for all skill levels and budgets is a crucial part of growth. GetBlock offers a wide range of blockchain nodes to its customers, along with information about the chains and projects themselves. This means that Hive and Hive's API documentation is now available to GetBlock's diverse userbase, opening up discovery and integration into crypto websites and services around the web. This amplifies and expands the reach and utility of Hive and makes it more easily accessible to everyone who uses GetBlock's services.

Their node is available through https://getblock.io/nodes/hive, and is currently running version 1.24.6. with the server located in Germany.

And finally, GetBlock is holding a Twitter contest to give away some HIVE!

If you're looking for a way to put a little bit of holiday jingle in your Hive wallet, GetBlock has you covered. It's always exciting to see collaboration and outreach in the blockchain space, and Hive and GetBlock are a wonderful example. Here's to a new year of new adventures!

What is GetBlock?

GetBlock is a service that provides a fast and easy connection to a continuously growing list of over 40 cryptocurrencies’ nodes, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), among others. They support such tools like JSON-RPC, REST, and WebSockets, which facilitates direct synchronization with the blockchain.

In order to build a blockchain-based application, an individual or a company usually has to deploy and run several blockchain nodes. There is no need to launch and support all the nodes anymore as the GetBlock service will get access to all the available currencies automatically.

GetBlock service solution is for those who are using or developing Light Wallets or Crypto Exchanges, for young entrepreneurs and beginners – for all those who have neither time nor resources to run their own full node. In order to get started with GetBlock, clients of the platform have to fill in the form on the website and get their personal API key and the tutorial on how to connect to GetBlock nodes.
