ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Hello and WELCOME to you ALL! 👋

Today is a monumental one! 🌟

I have decided to officially launch a shiny new service that I believe will make Hive an immensely more friendly one! 🚀

All the commenting I have been doing this week has got me thinking about an idea I had over a year ago! 💡

This idea is something that I think is going to make a HUGE DIFFERENCE in how we human on our blockchain. (If your not human... don't worry! This is still for you!) 👽👩‍🚀🤖

This service gravitates around what makes communities stick, tick, and click everywhere on this planet! 🌎

What is it!?

📢---COMMENTS!!!---👂

Comments are what bring content to life. ❤️

Without comments a social environment is an uncaring one with no oxygen to breath. A vacuum. A black hole. 🕳

And you know this instinctively too right? ❓

You don't need a 6th sense to know this. 6️⃣

But maybe you haven't thought about it before... 🧠

So let's talk about why a comment matters... ☝️

A comment is recognition on any social platform. 👍

It means that someone cared enough to actually look at your content and acknowledged the artifact you have left on the blockchain for immutable posterity.

[YOUR POST] 👀❗️ ___"WOW! Look at THAT!!!"

And THIS certainly matters doesn't it? 😏

Because a post isn't just a blob of stuff floating aimlessly, the target of an unknown destination in the middle of nowhere, like a piece of space junk making it's way through the emptiness of space and time.......... 🛰🌌

It's your content! 📗 📸 📹

A badge you wear and care about! 🏅

And you put your whole self into creating it right? 💪

It's VALUBLE and you want people to VALUE IT! 💎

So content is the launch pad... 🚦 10...9...8...7... 🚀 🌚

But what brings it all to life...❓

What provides the spark? 🔥

It's a comment. 💬

Even a single one can keep you going like a spaceship slipping through space and time for day's on end! 🎆

It actually translates into a very nice little equation.

Comments = Community.[period] ⭕️

Like a comet streaking through the sky and striking earth… A comment does the exact opposite! Wherever a comment touches down community springs up around it's impact site!

AND YOU KNOW WHAT!?

You can't have one without the other! ❌

In fact I would go so far as to say that a post's comments are a barometer of the over all health and well-being of the Hive Blockchain. (Spoken like a true personal trainer right!? hahaha! 😂)

And so it is in light of this concept that I decided to strike off on yet another Blockchain Adventure; a mission to add value to the comments section of peoples posts here on Hive.

AND we are going to call this mission...

OPPERATION

@COMET.RANKER 🌎

The primary objective of this mission will be to:

1. Rank comments on random posts throughout the blockchain.
2. Support community, connection, AND friendliness on the blockchain.
3. AND ping any unfriendliness that may be present on the blockchain.

All this will be done via an account I just registered today called @Comet.Ranker and will be done in my free moments as a way to do my part to improving the health and well-being of the Hive Blockchain.

So why do this?

Hive allows for the ranking of comments based on which ones have garnered the most love or are considered the most valuable to the communication on a given post.

Most of the time, when I click into a post, the first thing I notice is 1 of 2 things:

1. No comments at all. wamp wamp wammmmp! 💔

2. Comments with little to no love all jumbled into a big giant knot. ❗️❓

So why not do what I can to manually value, curate, and RANK what I think are the best, most insightful, sincere, thoughtful, exciting, interesting, informative, caring, and friendly of those comments?!

Personally, I think that it would be fun to discover and explore the blockchain on a mission like this!

...and I'm all about finding creative and fun ways to spread, "Good Wil"! 😉

What a perfect way to invest in people here on the blockchain and go where no man/woman has gone before!?

Or have they?

Am I the only one that enjoys reading, learning from, and ranking the comments of posts I read?

I donno?!

But it actually is really F.U.N.! Sort of like fitting a puzzle together with a big pay off at the end...

A better, more thoughtful, and friendlier Hive!

So that's the idea and this is the official post announcing the launch of this Hive Service! 👏

Will this be a profitable venture?

Ranking and curating comments?

Ahhh probably not, to be honest...🤷‍♂

But I can't think of anything right now that Hive needs more than adventurous people willing to throw themselves into the gaps that are sure to form on a decentralized platform like this one.

I can't think of anything more important than investing Financial Capital into Social Capital either... and THIS is, I think, a perfect way to do just that! It's what Hive does BEST!

The PowerUP Plan

I will begin by poweringUP 10,000 Hive (at first) to put actual weight behind this mission.
