Beer Saturday Riddled with Good Intentions

Today's post was going to be Epic. I really didn't say epic to myself but I had every intention of writing a great Beer Saturday post.

That was earlier in the week.

Before BeerSaturday Happened

It all went downhill from there...
Actually, it didn't. I just never sat in front of the computer to write it.

Honestly, speaking of good intentions, this was lasts weeks beer...I took the pictures but never posted. I blame the beer.

Anywho, this is one of the first "craft" beers i'd ever had. I'm not sure why I ordered it. Was it the medal? Was it the fact it had Gold in its name?

Either Way, it was Good

A lager with flavor. I was used to American domestics. Typically those are lagers without flavor.

Not bitter but has some nice hop flavor.

You can see it's A Medal Winner

From Great Lakes Brewing Company
"Dortmunder Gold earned its name after
winning its 1st gold medal at the Great
American Beer Festival in 1990.
Previously it was called “The Heisman”
after John Heisman, whose childhood
home is located near our brewery."

Eh, it's a pretty good lager.

A gateway lager if you will. Go Tribe! (Baseball)

Cheers!
