NEW RUSSIAN LAWS THAT ... PROTECT HOMESCHOOLING!

Homeschooling parents in Russia were nervous meeting new educational norms.
But they appeared to be rather good for those who avoid visiting schools!
Now homeschooling parents have even more freedom than earlier!
I'm glad to know it becausee my boy is 6, and 7-8 years is a common age of starting state education in Russia
So I hope our background will be only better during this year.

So what news do we have in law base now?

  • parents have a right to choose a school for passing certification

  • parents can influence certification schedule (early only school set it by itself)
And the schedule includes not only the dates, but also the frequency.

  • parents can choose homeschooling in any priod of the year - except from August 16 to September 1.
Have you chosen homeschooling on August 20? It's OK. Come on September the 1st and submit a notification.

  • a child has the right to finish the 9th grade even after 18 years

It is a perfect complement to the Individual Curriculum of unschoolers!

  • homeschoolers cancontinue to study at home without any problems even after unsuccessful passing state exams

  • now parents have a right to transfer grades from another school, and the local school authorities have NO right to make a kid pass exams exactly in their school.

Great news, as for me!
I do hope authorities will support homeschooling more in future, and I will have no problems with it either.
