Hey guys,
This activity is really easy to set up. My toddler loved this!
This is a simple fine motor activity with no explanation needed. It is perfect for both toddlers and preschoolers.
It's one of the simplest activity to keep little ones busy for a while. We have been doing various animal rescue activities as Caleb loves to rescue his fav animals.
Basically they have to peel off the tape from the surface and save their little victims who are in danger..!! πππ¦π We can tell them stories and connect with the activity..!!That how we can save animals and always love themπ
Set-up: πππ¦π
ππ½ Secure animal figurines with painterβs tape on a tray (horizontal) or the wall (vertical)
ππ½ Sit back and enjoy the show π or do your stuff till you can :)
What you need:
ππ½ Tape - paper/paint tape (Abro tape)
ππ½ Vertical/Horizontal surface
ππ½ Toys Figurines (animals, cars, dolls, letters, numbers, shapes, fruits, veggies) πππ¦π
You can:
ππ½Call out the sounds each animal make (or put your child to do it, if the kid knows which are they)
ππ½Ask the little one to rescue a particular animal
ππ½Name the animal he/she rescues
ππ½Give simple instructions you feel are appropriate along the way
ππ½Follow the child, they always lead wellπ
We can choose a vertical surface to plan this activity! Why vertical surface?? Working on vertical surface is a great means of gross motor skills. That is strengthening the larger muscles (in this case ) arms..!!! Its suprising to learn that well developed gross motor skill can have positive impact on more refined task such as tying shoe lace or putting up buttons.
When operating on the vertical surface you will notice that your kid will use larger motion of arms instead of small motion of hand and wrist.
I didnt knew this before. Our activity is made on a tray, horizontal surface. We did it twice, in this case. Second time, I put more animals cause he was really into Saving these poor Animals! ππππ¦π
Though the setup is simple it's super engaging and children are also practising:
- Princer grip
- Gross Motor skills
- Motor skills
- Hand eye coordination
- Problem solving
- Vocabulary
- Learning to have patience/perseverence
You can use any surface for eg-:β‘ Cupboard door β‘ Side of refrigerator β‘ Window β‘ Glass sliding door
Always choose a toy which interest your kido (birds , marine creatures, insects). πππ¦π
Choose tape which won't harm your surface incase you are using above mentioned ones.
Maybe you'll try this activity! Is really fun for the kids!
Stay healthy and positive,
Missdeli
