Hola mis estimados amigos de Home Edders, Padres y agentes de enseñanza hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes algunas estrategias o consejos útiles para quienes requieren desarrollar en sus hijos el proceso de escritura.

As you can see in the first place I propose that these work very well for children under 5 years old, this does not mean that we can continue to use them later to improve, only that we then include more complex processes. One of the things that we adults must understand and especially when we help our children to start both reading and writing is that each process takes its time according to the interest that both we and the child put in it as well as the cognitive development of the child, we should never run over learning because as I have already mentioned in other posts that only causes traumas.
Como pueden ver en primer lugar planteo que estas funcionan muy bien para niños menores de 5 años, esto no quiere decir que podamos seguir usándolas después para perfeccionar, sólo que luego vamos incluyendo procesos más complejos. Una de las cosas que debemos comprender los adultos y especialmente cuando ayudamos a nuestros hijos a comenzar tanto a leer como escribir es que cada proceso toma su tiempo según el interés que tanto nosotros como el niño le pone así como el desarrollo cognitivo del niño, no debemos nunca atropellar el aprendizaje porque como ya he mencionado en otros post eso sólo causa traumas.
Another important point is that learning to write necessarily involves mastering the movements of our hands and this is also learned and developed, this is the first step in learning to write. Therefore, the first thing we must do with the little ones is to let them know their hands and encourage the mastery of their movements and this is achieved through exercises where we show the children what their hands are and the movements we can do with them. For this, it is enough to sit in front of the child and play with him making movements with his hands.
Otro punto importante es el aprendizaje de la escritura implica necesariamente el dominio de los movimientos de nuestras manos y ese también se aprende y desarrolla, este es el primer paso para el aprendizaje de la escritura. Por ello, lo primero que debemos hacer con los más pequeños es permitirles conocer sus manos y fomentar el dominio de sus movimientos y esto se logra a través de ejercicios donde mostramos a los niños cuáles son sus manos y los movimientos que podemos hacer con ellas. Para esto vasta con sentarnos frente al niño y jugar con el haciendo movimientos con las manos.

Lo que quizá muchos de nosotros vemos como simples juegos son en realidad estrategias que permiten a nuestros niños aprender a dominar los movimientos de sus manos y eso es sumamente importante al momento de comenzar el proceso de la grafía. A medida que el niño avanza en edad y en el dominio de sus manos podemos ya incluir las estrategias de trazado que inicialmente se constituyen del trazado de líneas y figuras geométricas, así como lo están leyendo el dibujo es la forma inicial del aprendizaje de la grafía de nuestro idioma.

3.- Use molds of letters, we can make them ourselves or with the help of the computer, we will also make the letters so that the children will join the dots and discover how to trace them, we will make them in a large format, then as the child masters the tracing we will decrease its size until we reach the size of the letters that we commonly use on a page when writing.
3.- Usar moldes de letras, estas las podemos hacer nosotros mismos o con ayuda del computador, igualmente haremos las letras para que los niños vayan uniendo los puntos y descubran como se trazan las mismas, estas las haremos en un formato grande, luego a medida que el niño domine el trazado vamos disminuyendo su tamaño hasta llegar al tamaño de las letras que comúnmente usamos en una página al escribir.
Another strategy has to do with the use of letter primers so that our children can paint and learn about letters. Something we should not forget is that reading and writing are sister processes, both are developed in the same way because reading involves the recognition and decoding of the spelling, therefore, when learning to write, children are also appropriating the learning of reading and when reading improves writing, this works for the rest of our lives.
Otra de las estrategias tiene que ver con el uso de las cartillas de letras para que nuestros chicos pinten y conozcan las letras. Algo que no debemos olvidar es que la lectura y la escritura son procesos hermanos, ambos se desarrollan en la misma medida debido a que, la lectura implica el reconocimiento y decodificación de la grafía por tanto al aprender a escribir los niños van también apropiándose del aprendizaje de la lectura y al leer mejoran la escritura esto funciona por el resto de nuestra vida.
