At breakfast as a garnish there was a piece of this red basil. I never saw it so I asked and the lady at the table said “ from il jardino “ so after breakfast i went down the path in to the olive yard next to our terrass and near the football field where the boys were playing and there they all were , pots with fresh peppers, strawberries, flowers ( to eat ) basil , both green and this purple one, mint, parsley , apples ! So cool that they use it in their kitchen and serve it to us.
Wise aswell because all they can grow themselves they don’t have to buy. And I will do another blog about the “il jardino “ with all the fruit they have here and the lemons 🍋 to make limoncello di casa.
There also was sage, maybe I should take some dry it and use it ! I love sage. And that smell if you rub the leaves.
Two times a week the bed and breakfast also has a possibility to eat at the place where we have breakfast. One pasta night one pizza night. All with toppings fresh from “ il jardino “ tomorrow we will eat pasta there in PASTA NIGHT !
Pictures are taken by me , it’s my hand , my finger, my feet and my dress.
I used my “ picture this app” to search the name and add it to my virtual garden untill at home where I and to try and grow it aswell, both the taste and the scent is amazing.
To go there here is the link
If you want to take the opportunity to take the pictures yourself OR taste some fresh harvest from il jardino here is the website
its appreciated and remember always focus on being creative
instead of being bee-zy.
