Just wanted to let you know that in order for the post to be considered for the contest, you have to post a link to it under the original announcement post, and it had to adhere to the genre and thematic prompts given. This is an excellent story (getting a 100% upvote from me for sure!), But the only canine thematic element is the very brief mention of a wolf attack at the beginning of the piece. This is not sufficient to be considered thematically adhering to the contests stipulations.
I tell you this not as a criticism, but because I genuinely want to see you have a fighting chance in the contest, this is good writing!
