Recap: Mary Windfiddle’s Adventures Arc 1-3 (D&D story)

Hello, Everyone!
How have you been? I had a short break from posting and made some very good progress with the story. Our D&D group keeps playing and we’re a couple of arcs ahead of what you’ll be reading this season, but it’s all right. My writing’ll get there eventually.
I hope you haven’t forgotten what Mary's story is all about but if you have, here’a bit of a recap.

One day Mary Windfiddle, a socially awkward bookworm from Frinkeltong, decided to go on an adventure. She imagined that she’d explore, meet new people, fight ‘In The Name Of Good’, and return home to write ‘The Best Story Ever’.

She made a pact with an Archfey named Gillean in order to get some magic powers, and she was off. She met a couple of other adventurers, the dwarven Cleric Bruno and the human Bard Aurum, and together, they did explore and meet new people. ‘Fighting In The Name Of Good’, however, turned out to be an exhausting and sometimes dubious thing. Witnessing a horrific Roper devouring some Duergar in its toothy mouth, barely saving a dragon’s victim from terrible torture, seeing her friends fall and rise in battle once and once again… It wasn’t as glorious as Mary had hoped.

But there were good sides, too. Mary met some nice people during her travels: Bruno’s flamboyant sister Paulina, her quiet but skillful friend Asya, their first employer lord Dwendel and his family, and, of course, the elven Paladin Tesaya. Along with her friends, she became a Hero of Belfast and an Agent of Pamagos. They got a statue in their honour in the elven city of Myth Adofhaer. They even got a fortress, way up in the mountains, to govern and take care of as they wished. They met the rulers of the dwarven city of Belfast, the head of the central bountiful land of Pamagos and the esteemed (however snooty) Elders of the Elven forest.

During their last days in Myth Adofhaer, they were given the opportunity to choose their next adventure and they decided to head to the shady land of Ekoba in order to secure some magical bells that Aurum wanted to have. They said their ‘goodbyes’ to Tesaya, and were off.

However, there were things that made them uneasy – mysteries that were just now being unfolded and bizarre occurrences that occasionally plagued their daily lives. Some things just… didn’t make sense.

Let’s hope that all those questions are going to find their answers in our next big adventure of Mary Windfiddle and her friends!

See you then!
Take care and be well!

An important disclaimer: These are my notes from a D&D game turned into a narrative. All the worldbuilding and NPC encounters belong to our DM, and all the actions of the other main characters (Aurum and Bruno) belong to my co-players. My contribution to the story is only everything Mary-related (actions, reactions, inner thoughts), as well as the writing itself.
