Wreath of Pink Roses - Unknown Part of a Sad Story

Martin has dressed up in a black tuxedo suit and is ready to visit the town hall park, her daughter 'Kate' helps him to sit on the power wheelchair. They have left the house and are moving toward the town hall, which is just 2 blocks away from their residence.

Martin's face turns a little pale, as they are approaching the town hall. Kate asks him "Are you okay, dad?"

"Huh! yeah." he replies after a sigh.

"Kate, remember, we have to pick the wreath, let's go to Jackie's Blooms first." he asks her daughter.

"Sure dad, it is just a minute away from here." Kate responds in favor.

They are now heading to Jackie's Blooms, which is just opposite the town hall's main gate, it is a floral shop of a middle-aged woman 'Jackie', she has very close ties with Martin's family, and had been a dedicated friend to his wife 'Clara'.

"Hi, Jackie." Martin says waving his hand while entering the shop.

Jackie warmly replies "Oh look, who is here, Martin and the beautiful Kate." and leaps to Kate for a hug leaving the counter.

Martin asks Jackie "Is the..".

Jackie cuts Martin in the middle and shoots "I know, I know, I have already prepared a special wreath decorated with pink roses as I do every year, here it is." She smiles and hands over the wreath to Martin.

Martin took the wreath and put it on his lap and appreciates her for being so kind to him.

"Thank you Jackie, we should be going now to get to the park." Martin says with an expression of gratitude.

Jackie replies "Catch you later at the dinner."

Martin and Kate are now waiting by the crosswalk, as the light turns green they start walking across the road to reach the town hall's main gate.

They head toward the town hall park and then stop by the riot victims' memorial.

Kate helps Martin get closer to the monument to pay homage to the riot victims and her mother.

Martin bows down to Clara's name, touches her name and kisses his fingers with a gesture of love, and again touches her name. His eyes start to fill with tears, and tear droplets slowly drip down his cheeks. Then he places the wreath around the victims' nameplate with his shaky hands, while Kate is placing 5 candles in windproof holders on the floor, and then lightens them up to pay the tribute to once-living beings.

Kate hugs her father from behind to console him, but Martin's pain is so deep to be relieved.
