Mary and Julian are two jolly friends. People call them partners in crime because of their closeness and the way they do things jointly. They both have nasty husbands and they are always having issues in their homes. As we all know that there's a day of death for everyone, Julian's husband gave up the ghost by committing suicide. It was a painful death as the man was less than 40 years. He took his own life because nothing seems interesting to him about life and he sees no reason he should remain alive
On the day of burial, Mary was with her friend at the cemetery. She held her friend tight as the casket was lowered into the grave. Tears began to flow like a river as family and friends couldn't bear the pain of losing their loved ones. Julian wept bitterly and kept screaming and calling his husband's name
Please Michael, don't leave me. Michael, Michaeeelll, we didn't plan it this way ooooo. I love you so much, my darling husband. Ha! Please, just hear my cry and respond. Michaeeeeeelllllllllllll

Lossing a family member can be so disheartening. As they were covering the casket with sand, Julian jumped into the grave. It took three hefty men more than 5 minutes to drag her out forcefully because of her weight and her refusal to cooperate with them
Mary remembered many times they both sat to discuss their husband. She remembered how her friend would complain of being tired of his good-for-nothing husband. She recalled how they both sit and plan not to prepare dinner to frustrate their husband and here is her friend about to kill herself for a man that can never come back to life. Her friend cried till her voice went out
As Julian watched the pageant of a fresh widow wailing for a man that wasn't treated well and called a good-for-nothing fellow, she remembered her husband

One love
She remembered much she disrespects her husband. She thought of how he used to take him for granted.
How she snapped at a slight issue and give a prolonged silence over a little misunderstanding that can be solved within a second.
She recollects how she deny him sex several times and frustrate him to leave the bed to the sitting room to sleep on the couch overnight.
Before the husband left home for work in the morning, she remembered they had an issue over him leaving his tie on the bed and not keeping it in the appropriate place and she didn't tell him goodbye or wish him well for the day
What if I was in my friend's shoe today, what would I do? What memory will I have if he didn't return from work as he left home out of anger in the morning because of me
I Immediately she had such thought, she jumped out of her sit and shouted, " God forbid". Her loud voice called people's attention but no one could ask her what was going on because of the ugliness of the current situation
Many realized she needs to be a good wife. She began to remember all the good things about his husband. Every good thing he had done began to flow in her head. All the wonderful moments, the laughter, the care and the joy they've had together flashed through her memory
At that moment, she began to appreciate her husband for all the good things he had done no matter how little. She realized how life would be without him
Later in the evening after her friend gained a little strength, she left her with her family members and went home to prepare dinner for her husband and the kids. But this time, it was a special delicacy to appreciate her loving husband. She also bought some gifts and planned with the children what they would do when their father return from work
Mary's husband left work around 5.00 PM. The journey home should not be more than an hour with or without hold up but it's 45 minutes past and he's yet to arrive. Mary began to dial his number. She called until she had a low battery but his number wasn't connecting. She began to get timid
Suddenly, she heard the sound of the gate and quickly peeped through the window. Oh! It was him. She took a deep breath of relief and adjusted her fitted skirt and blouse just as her husband loved it with a slight touch of make-up
When he entered, they welcome him with a sweet song. On the table was a well-cooked meal. His favourite bush meat lap was roasted and hanged beside his beer brand. Her husband was surprised. He knew whatever could have triggered the sweet actions and reactions from his family must be pleasant
When his wife expressed gratitude by appreciating everything he has done for her and the entire family and told him how much they love and cherish him, he could not help the free tears of joy from flowing down his cheeks
For a few minutes, he reflected on the times he had made her cry. The times he never cared for her. He felt guilty he didn't deserve the special treatment given to him by his wife and children
He hugged his wife. "I love you, dear, I love you too with a big smile on mary's face"
The children were happy. They all had a wonderful dinner and the night was really a different one for the couples. They refused to sleep till cock crow as they enjoyed themselves. It was the bed that was in trouble
Ever since that day, they began to live a life full of love, appreciation, care, and kindness because each day that passes is a blessing. Tomorrow is never guaranteed
