I was inspired by @inuke writing on Hive. He is a great storyteller and I wish he would write more but I realize he has a busy schedule and managing time besides working and looking after his family is a great responsibility in itself.
So, here goes. I will start writing a story and @inuke and whoever comes across this story can attempt to finish it. There are no prizes by the way. So, why is this a contest, you may ask? The minute the hive blog announces prizes, it attracts many people who are in it for the money alone. I want quality stuff and also people who are really interested in the challenge and not the money. Therefore, the prize is the self-satisfaction that you get on completing. That being said, I will try to give small prizes that I can afford to entries that did complete justice to this contest.
The story below is based on a true incident that occurred days before in my state. The characters are fictional but the message is important and we have to be very careful when dealing with such criminal minds in today's society.
The abduction series
Paul was desperate. He wanted money. He was fidgeting around when his wife suggested that they watch a movie together. She switched on the television set and they began to watch the movie about some theater artists who were desperate for money and decided to kidnap a rich kid. The movie was a comedy and they enjoyed it but while watching the movie, Paul looked at his wife and told her his idea.
They roped in a few friends with a similar mindset and all was set. They traveled along the roads of the town and enquired about the new house. The locals did not suspect a thing. They noticed the small children walking alone to the next street after school to attend tuition classes. The next day, they came in a car and tried to kidnap the children. The boy tried to beat them with a stick but they grabbed the girl and raced off in the car. The boy informed the grandparents and then the police. The whole state was alerted. Social media shares and CCTV footage were broadcast on every station. The criminals knew they would be caught. Meanwhile, a ransom amount was asked but an intense search by the police forced them to leave the child unhurt in an empty ground. She was later returned to her parents.
The gang is still around and several other kidnapping attempts have been made. ( Please complete this story)

There are many theories about who these criminals are but all are waiting for the police to catch the culprits.
