An unforgettable journey to a beautiful holy place

My greetings to all my friends. Friends, I had to go to a friend's village on the occasion of his marriage. His village was very beautiful. His village was 120 kilometers from Pune. On going there, we came to know that Bhimashankar mountain, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, is twenty-five kilometers from here. And this is a very beautiful and holy place. The wedding was at 2:30, so after the wedding ceremony was over, we planned to go there.

Two friends from the office were with me. After the wedding function, we left from there. We reached there in about half an hour. There was a very dense and beautiful forest on that hill. Being a weekend, there was a lot of crowd there. So we had to park the car one kilometer before the temple and walk. We parked the car and started walking. My heart felt happy after seeing the beautiful forest views.These The forest has been reserved by the government for wild animals. There are many types of animals here. Orchards are also found in this forest. Friends, there is a specialty of this forest: a squirrel named Shekru is found here, which is very rare. It is called the Indian Giant Squirrel in English. We did not get to see this.

While walking from there, we saw many monkeys on the roadside and in the trees. People would give them food items, and the monkeys would come near them and take them away. They are not afraid at all, and they will come to you and take you away. The view here is worth seeing in the rain. The entire mountain forest is lush green, and the waterfalls flowing from the mountains are a sight worth seeing. We reached the temple on foot, and there was a huge crowd there for darshan.

This temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and the Shivalinga here is quite big. This area is considered very sacred. There is also a mythological story about this area. When Lord Rama killed Kumbhakarna, Kumbhakarna's son Bheema vowed to Rama to avenge the killing of his father. But it was not within his power to defeat someone as powerful as Ram. So he performed severe penance for Brahmaji. Pleased with his penance, Brahmaji blessed him to be victorious. Then Bhima started harming people by using his demon power. Not only humans but also the gods became troubled due to his atrocities. Then all the Devgans went to Lord Shankarji and requested that he free them from this oppression.

Lord Shiva killed the demon Bhima. Manav and Devgan were happy with this, and they prayed to Lord Shiva, Please sit here in the form of Shivalinga. Lord Shiva accepted his prayer. And she appeared there in the form of Shivalinga. The place where demon Bhima was killed came to be known as Bhimashankar. Friends, this place is very beautiful and energetic.
