When I saw the theme for Indiaunited contest this week, I had to make a deep think. I watch a lot in YouTube, I love videos from a lot of YouTubers, but who do I love best, that's what the prompt was about. So finally I decided on one to write on, and surely he is my favorite!
He's a real doctor, but he also works on social media to break down medical situations to everyone up to the lowest class of people!
My favorite YouTuber
Aproko Doctor, whose real name is Egemba Chinonso Fidelis, is a Nigerian doctor, health influencer, and actor. He is the founder of Healthy Brands and the non-profit organization 100K Club. He is best known for breaking down medical situations using humor and storytelling and he does this on YouTube too.
Why is he called Aproko doctor
"Aproko" is a Nigerian Pidgin term that means to "gossip" or "rumor." In the context of Aproko Doctor's brand, it's means that he shares "juicy gist" about health and wellness.
By adding "Aproko" into his name, he's merged his medical expertise with a relatable and engaging aspect of Nigerian culture, making his brand more approachable and memorable.
Why he's my favorite
His videos are both informative and hilarious. I like his style of conveying information and he makes complex medical topics accessible to everyone..
His storytelling skills and use of relatable analogies have helped me understand various health issues. I appreciate how he tackles serious topics with sensitivity and humor, making his channel.
A lot of Nigerians have nicknamed him "Drink water" because he always emphasizes on drinking water, Yes Drink water!

Ok he doesn't only talk about water, he talks about many other issues that affects people, things that we do that are unhealthy and things that are healthy, here's what he displayed about sitting long in the toilet:
This one below has to be the funniest of him I've seen lol, in this video he acted with another popular Nigerian comedian, Mr Macaroni. He went to marry the man's daughter but he kept talking about every unhealthy thing he noticed in the family that he got throw out by the man 😂:
Someone has even made a comment on Facebook that her husband restricts her from mentioning Aproko doctor because whenever he wants to do something the wife will say: Aproko says otherwise, Aproko doctor says it's not healthy! 🙃😑
For long health advice has been as dry as a medical textbook, Aproko Doctor is the much-needed injection of humor and humanity.
Aproko Doctor's channel is the perfect prescription for boredom and misinformation. Side effects may include laughter, learning, and a newfound appreciation for Nigerian accents. 😁.
