Me, Myself and Writing

“So!! You ready?”
“Go Away!!!” I replied to the voice. I hate that voice.
“Tch!! Tell me naa, you ready?” Inuke asked again.
“No, I am not. And I want to rest. Shoo!!. Go!!” I replied again knowing all too well that he was not going anywhere and would be bugging me for the entire evening and probably the night too.
“Come on da!! Will write something nice.”

I am not sure if it's that voice that I hate or the fact that I have no control over this guy. Probably both.

“Come on bro!! We hadn't written s#!t throughout the year.!! Let's write something today.”
“How is it possible that “YOU.” A part of my imagination, my creation, basically a part of me, not able to understand that I am in no shape today start a story. How is it that I am suffering from backpain, headache, tight shoulder and muscle cramps but you one are full of energy.”

“I dont know.” Shrugged Inuke.

“Jaa re. Aaram karne de.” (Eng Trans. - Get Lost, I need to rest)
“Listen Naa, How about we start working on the story about the wolf who became human.” Energy and happy vibes from inuke was sickening. I wanted to punch him but how can you punch something that doesn't exist on the physical realm.

“Dude, you were there. Right? Today I spent almost 12hrs sitting and working. How are you not feeling my need to lie down and relax. I want every part of my body to relax and slow down. I want to imagine myself as an ice cube, slowly melting and then evaporating into thin air. Do you know what happens when you are overworked and..”

“Bro!! Are you going to write or not?” He dared cut me off.

“No!! I am going to bed. And relax. And sleep. And you cannot stop me.” I challenged inuke.

“But the story is not going to write itself. You have to write.” inuke was getting on my nerves at this point.

“Aey!!! I will write when the mood strikes okay!! Don't push it. Creative writing takes time and with this tried brain. I don't think its a good idea to get into a story now. In fact, I can give you a hundred reasons why we shouldn't be working on a story.” I tried convincing him to postpone the story writing. It surprised me that I was trying to reason with him instead of simply putting him in the box or something.

“You may have a hundred reasons to avoid, but you need only one to get to the writing.” Inuke countered my reasoning.

“Yeah!! And what would that be?”

“Because you said so,” Inuke replied.

“Huh!!! Try to understand naa.. I am tired and I will not be able to write anything. Let's try tomorrow.”

“But!! You said that yesterday.”

At this point, I could sense that inuke was losing it. I was afraid of my own imagination.
“Ok!! Two conditions.”
“Agreed.”
“But you haven't even heard it yet.”
“Yeah !! Yeah!! Whatever gets you in the driving seat.” Inuke pulled the chair near my workstation.

“So what are you going to write.” inuke asked.
"Man!! you were the one jumping around. You tell."
“Lets start the story of the Wolf..”
“This is what I hate about you. You are saying "the story of the wolf" again and again. But there is nothing to write. It's just you watch some trailer of LEO and it's stuck with you. And now you think you have a story.”
“I actually do. So the wolf is actually a mild-mannered wolf and not some vicious creature. OK.”
“So, you just have a character, not a story.”
“But we can build a story around it, Na..”
“Hmm, yes we can but some other day,” I replied back to inuke. His excitement kind of charged me.
“What are you going to write?” Inuke asked.
“Well!!! what do we do when we have nothing to write about?”

Hi I am inuke,
This is one of my pointless posts. Which I write when there is nothing to write about. That actually isn't true. I have many topics to write about, it is just I am super busy and somehow super lazy too. This is just an attempt to get the writing rhythm back. I am sorry If I wasted your time on this pointless post. See you in the next one.. :-)

Before I go, just want to thank IndiaUnited and BeAwesome community for their love and support.
