This week contest topic is something to pounder on. Security is the ultimost for every nation and person.
Nigeria is a multinational state inhabited by more than 250 ethnic groups speaking 500 distinct languages, all identifying with a wide variety of cultures. Depite the diversity in culture and languages there is peace and rest of mind.At her birth both old and young rejoice and shout for joy cause a king was birthed
Nigeria is blessed with many natural which includes: petroleum, tin, columbite, iron ore, coal, limestone, lead, zinc, natural gas, hydropower, and arable land. Which makes her stand out as a country which flows with milk and honey.
Nigeria is blessed with a Seren climatic condition which makes it unique and dynamic. That was why she was called the giant of Africa.
Due to greed and selfish intrest and Amidst her abundant resources and climatic condition she was struck with diverse challenges ranging from the herdsmen invasion, kidnappings, unknown gun men, boko Haram and many others. A country which was once a giant of Africa can not even secure her children from the arms of insecurity. An abode of peace, unity and tranquility now turns to the den of human lions who is ready to devour it.
Although she wasn't the only country facing this at this particular time it a global problem. Insecurity has been the order of the day. We live in a world where you can't even guarantee what the next seconds holds.
Our prayer is that our country Nigeria shall be great again. Just like her National Anthem
**Nigeria, we hail thee,
Our own dear native land,
Though tribe and tongue may differ,
In brotherhood, we stand,
Nigerians all, and proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland.
Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign,
In peace or battle honour’d,
And this we count as gain,
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain.
O God of all creation,
Grant this our one request,
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed,
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.**
