Once a Farmer, Forever a Farmer.

I remember my childhood days when we did have fun conversations with my siblings. My brother would question us about our future, then we would start sharing our dreams and ambitions. I remember how my brother said he would love to be an aeronautical engineer and in his home he would love to have a big runway where he could park his helicopter and planes.

When I had to share mine, I had the dream of having a big plot of land, where I could have a lot of livestock, herds of cows, flocks of sheep, poultry, and a big fish farm. I also have another section with a lot of plants and cash crops.

My aim then wasn’t for selling or for survival. But I just want to eat from what I saw and be happy around natural existence. The cool breeze from the trees and plants, the sound from the cows and the birds. Just having my way through nature was all I wished for.

When I chose an occupation, I chose to be a pilot 😂. Only if wishes were horses. I never understood that life isn't all about dreams alone. At some point in my life, I realized there is a difference between dreams and reality.

When I got admitted into the university I had to seek a source of income as the amount sent to me as allowance was not enough for me to cater to my needs. Somehow I found Hive and was able to get my source of income. Since then I have been earning actively on hive and took it as my active source of income.

Hive has been filling up a lot of gaps when it comes to tending to my responsibilities. I was able to do a lot of things from buying, reading handouts, making data subscriptions, feeding, and a lot more. Somehow it affected my academics because it wasn’t easy to combine both. Yet I had no choice because it was my source of income. And it's giving me a better existence.

I studied agriculture as a course in the university, and that has been a call back to my childhood dreams. I think now I can earn a living from what I loved as a child. I built my passion towards becoming a livestock farmer. And I decided to venture into aquaculture and fish farming.

When I graduated, I started taking some steps toward accomplishing it. I knew starting up would cost me a lot of finances. And this is something I had to do for a living. Then I chose to take it as my active source of income and turn my Hive as my passive source of income.

I have been earning passively on Hive and then trying to establish my fish farm too. So far I have not started earning much on the businesses but I have been earning on Hive. I also wish to have many more sources of income and not just a source of income.

In my family, I am an independent type and try to help as much as I can. I hope I can have an active source of income that will make me more income shortly.
