Oreo has lived in our home for a few months, but it's sad that we have to say goodbye to her. Maybe many will tell me, "You shouldn't get a cat if you can't handle the responsibility." Honestly, we tried our very best. My sister, who adores cats, spoiled Oreo when she was a kitten. Case, as time went by, we noticed the change in Oreo, and it just reached the point that we wanted to give up on her as owners. When it comes to issues, first, we can't litter-train her anymore. We have changed the sand and even her territory in our house several times so that he and our other cat, Simba, do not fight, but up to this day, she still has not learned how to poop in her own sand. There are times when it seems like she will spread her dirt on purpose, and by the end, we are just so irritated by her behaviour.
We love to take care of cats. In fact, we consider them to be members of our family, not just animals. But it's also really guilty because it seems like we really failed as owners because we can't handle her behavior anymore.
Someone—a friend—suggested that we rehome Oreo because she might not be the right fit for us. To be honest, my sister doesn't want to give her to someone else, but it looks like we have no other choice because this cat's attitude is stressful.
As of now, we are still looking for a candidate owner for her. We don't want to give him to a stranger or someone we are not close to because we still want to see her grow up.
To the cat owners out there, we each have our own strategies on how to train our domestic pets. Please, let me know how other people can help us because it is really against our hearts to rehome Oreo.
