Christmas with Dorie
Dorie, my beautiful dog, is the most loved and adored thing in the house. Every year we buy her some clothes for this time of year and we put them on so that she can walk dressed like us.
This year we got her a little handkerchief with a Christmas design, and on her back she has a bell (which, by the way, she loves to walk with sound). Every time we bathe her and take off her little collar, she sits there waiting for it to be put back on.
Navidad con Dorie
Dorie, mi hermosa perrita, es lo más adorado y querido en la casa. Cada año le compramos alguna ropita o pañito para esta época y se la ponemos para que ande vestida como nosotros.
Este año le conseguimos como un pañuelito con diseño de navidad, y en la parte de la espalda tiene un cascabel (que por cierto a ella le encanta caminar con sonido), cada vez que la bañamos y le quitamos el collarcito, ella se queda sentada esperando a que se lo vuelvan a poner.

For the good night dinner, the 24th, we had to go to my grandparents' house for dinner on Mother's behalf. She arrived a little scared, because when we left on a trip we left her there, but then she realized that we were not going to leave her and she was running around the house. You can see in her little face how happy she was.
Christmas tree and she...
She's so quiet that she doesn't make much of a mess, *she hasn't learned how to put the tree together, but she doesn't disarm it either because it doesn't reach much. What she did do was eat the whole nativity scene that my mother put on the bottom, because she understands that the little red carpet that we put on it is for her and she doesn't want to know about decorations.
What we do is prepare a few fake gifts to fill in and give her some space to unwrap.

Para la cena de noche buena, el 24, nos tocó ir a cenar a casa de mis abuelos de parte de Madre, ella llegó un poco asustada, porque cuando nos vamos de viaje la dejamos ahí, pero luego se dió cuenta que no la íbamos a dejar y andaba correteando por toda la casa. Pueden notar en su carita la felicidad que ella tenía.
Arbolito de navidad y ella...
Ella es tan tranquila que no hace mucho desorden, *no ha aprendido a armar el arbolito, pero tampoco lo desarma porque no alcanza mucho. Lo que si hacía, era comerse todo el nacimiento que mi madre ponía en la parte de abajo, porque ella entiende que la alfombrita roja que le ponemos, es para ella y no quiere saber de decoraciones.
Lo que hacemos es preparar unos cuantos regalos falsos para rellenar y que le quede espacio a ella para desenvolverse.
The photos were not as in focus as she would like, because it is already dark and they were taken with the cell phone, but she loves to pose for the pictures. She's super flirtatious, and she knows that since we dress her up in something she has to stay a few minutes posing for us to take her. (laughs)
Fireworks and she...
A few were heard, but since there is a curfew in my country, many couldn't be launched as in past years.
But what we do is take her inside the house somewhere where you don't hear so much, or just try to cover her little ears with your hands. She always gets scared, barks once or twice to comply and runs off at the legs of one of us.
Las fotos no quedaron tan enfocadas como quisiera, porque ya escaba oscuro y fueron con el celular, pero ella le encanta posar para las fotos. Es super coqueta, y ya sabe que desde que la vestimos con algo le toca quedarse unos minutos posando para que le tomemos. (risas)
Fuegos artificiales y ella...
Se escucharon unos cuantos, pero como hay toque de queda en mi país no se pudieron lanzar muchos como en años pasados.
Pero lo que hacemos es llevarla adentro de la casa en algún sitio donde no se escuchen tanto, o simplemente tratar de taparle las orejitas con las manos. Ella siempre se asusta, ladra una o dos veces para cumplir y se va corriendo a las piernas de alguno de nosotros.
She always gets up very affectionately and demands her attention, and the next day, the 25th in the morning, she wouldn't even let me open my gift because she understood that we had to pay attention to her first, and forget about the rest.
Ella siempre amanece muy cariñosa y exige su atención, ya al otro día, el 25 en la mañana, nisiquiera me dejaba abrir mi regalo porque ella entendía que había que prestarle primero atención a ella, y olvidarnos de lo demás.
Here is the proof that you have to pass over her first in order to reach the gifts (even though she has no idea that they are decorative). And with her little face and those beautiful eyes she has, ? who doesn't stop to give her love?
Christmas dinner and she...
I hope if there's a vet out there reading this, he doesn't kill me. But she has been eating everything we eat for years now, obviously we avoid giving her too much sugar, chocolate, avocado, or any other food that we investigate and we know that they are not good for her. But she's so sappy, and believes herself to be people that her purine reached a point where she didn't eat it (she literally lasted almost 15 days on a fasting strike).
And nothing, this is all for now, if you have any funny anecdote about your pets I feel welcome to share it with me. Christmas is over, but for me it's not over until they take down the little tree in my house, so MERRY CHRISTMAS

Aquí está la prueba de que primero hay que pasar sobre ella para poder alcanzar los regalos (aunque ella no tienen idea de que son decorativos). Y con su carita y esos ojitos tan hermosos que ella tiene, ¿Quién no se detine a darle cariño?
Cena de navidad y ella...
Ojalá que si hay un veterinario por ahí leyendo esto, no me mate. Pero ya de hacen unos años para acá ella come todo lo que comemos nosotros, obviamente evitamos darle mucha azúcar, chocolate, aguacate, o uno que otros alimentos que investigamos y sabemos que no le hacen bien. Pero ella es tan ñoña, y se cree gente que su purina llegó un punto que no la comía (literalmente duro casi 15 días en huelga de ayuno).
Y nada, esto es todo por ahora, si tienes alguna anécdota divertida de tus mascotas sienteté bienvenido a compartirla conmigo. Ya pasó la navidad, pero para mí no se acaba hasta que quiten el arbolito en mi casa, así que FELIZ NAVIDAD
