This time I had the help of my husband and my son to make a scratching post for the cats in the house, since my mom's furniture has all of them broken, since it is where they scratch every time she wants.
This scratching post is very easy to make, with a simple cardboard box, in this opportunity we used one that came with an air conditioner, since it is long and is more practical when it comes to cutting.

Hola, queridos amigos de esta hermosa comunidad, espero que se encuentren muy bien, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algo que no será bello pero sí útil para nuestros gatos.
En esta oportunidad tuve la ayuda de mi esposo y de mi hijo para realizar un rascador para los gatos de la casa, ya que los muebles de mi mamá los tienen todos rotos, ya que es donde se rascan cada vez que quiere.
Este rascador es muy fácil de hacer, con una simple caja de cartón, en esta oportunidad nosotros utilizamos una donde venía un aire acondicionado, ya que es larga y es más práctica a la hora de cortar.

Next, my husband with a knife began to cut, it was not easy because the cardboard is hard, we had scissors, but it was very uncomfortable and we could run the risk that the scissors would break.
My husband with a lot of patience managed to cut all the strips and then begin to fold them, which was easy to manipulate to make the circle for the scraper.

Comencé marcando con una regla larga las medidas de las tiras que se van a utilizar.
Seguidamente, mi esposo con un cuchillo comenzó a cortar, no fue nada fácil porque el cartón es duro, teníamos tijera, pero era muy incómodo y podíamos correr el riesgo que las tijeras se rompieran.
Mi esposo con mucha paciencia logró cortar todas las tiras para después comenzar a doblar, cosa que se hiciera fácil manipularla para hacerlo el círculo para el rascador.

We grabbed a strip and began to roll it up little by little, I started to do it myself, but I had to use force and I reached a point where my fingers could not hold any more and I asked my husband for help and he kindly accepted and continued gluing strips with hot silicone until we managed to make a big round for both cats to have something to play with.

Agarramos una tira y comenzamos a enrollar poco a poco, comencé hacerlo yo, pero había que usar fuerza y llegue aún punto donde mis dedos no aguantaban más y le pedí ayuda a mi esposo y él aceptó amablemente y continuo pegando tiras con silicona caliente hasta que logramos hacer un redondo grande para que ambos gatos tuvieran con que jugar.

It wasn't easy because we had to tighten the strips as we rolled it up, we used all the strips that came out of the cardboard box, but it was something nice that we did as a family, we all put our effort to make the scratching post for the cats in the house so they wouldn't keep breaking my mom's furniture.
Now let's hope that these cats get used to the scratcher and want to use it ha, ha, ha, ha... and that our effort was worth it so they have a new toy made with a lot of effort and love. Have you already made a toy for your pets?

No fue fácil porque había que ir apretando a medida que se iba enrollando, utilizamos todas las tiras que salieron de la caja de cartón, pero fue algo bonito que hicimos en familia todos pusimos de nuestro esfuerzo para hacerle el rascador a los gatos de la casa y que no siguieran rompiendo el mueble de mi mamá.
Ahora a esperar que estos gatos se acostumbren al rascador y quieran utilizarlo ja, ja, ja... y que nuestro esfuerzo haya valido la pena para que tengan un nuevo juegue hecho con mucho esfuerzo y amor. ¿Y ustedes ya le hicieron un juguete a sus mascotas?
