Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post especial sobre un pequeño concurso (el cual pueden leer con más detalle aquí si están interesados) que trata sobre hablar sobre como le demostramos amor a nuestras mascotas así que el día de hoy les hablaré sobre como le demuestro mi gran amor a Misty, una fiel compañera que me ha ayudado muchísimo emocionalmente a lo largo de mi vida.
Ella llegó a mi vida en Febrero de 2013 con 6 meses de edad, venía sucia, descuidada y enferma, lo cual hizo que mis padres y yo la lleváramos al veterinario y le diéramos el amor que no recibió en su antiguo hogar, ya que ella estaba llena de cariño y amor para dar. He hablado en posts anteriores como llegó a mi vida, sus actividades y su historia, hoy les hablaré sobre cuanto la quiero y cómo se lo demuestro.
Hello again! Today I come with a special post about a little contest (which you can read in more detail here if you are interested) that is about talking about how we show love to our pets so today I will talk about how I show my great love to Misty, a faithful companion that has helped me a lot emotionally throughout my life.
She came into my life in February 2013 at 6 months old, she came in dirty, neglected and sick, which made my parents and I take her to the vet and give her the love she didn't get in her old home, as she was full of affection and love to give. I have talked in previous posts about how she came into my life, her activities and her history, today I will talk to you about how much I love her and how I show her.
𝐂𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐬 | 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞
Toda mascota necesita cuidados y eso es algo de lo que estoy muy pendiente de Misty. Ella llegó con unas pelotitas en las orejas las cuales palpé y avisé a mis padres rápidamente para así, operarla y mejorarla a tiempo. Le pongo sus gotitas para las orejas periódicamente y se las limpio desde ese día. También le dieron garrapatas y con todo el dolor tuve que evitar que se montara en mi cama para dormir o las garrapatas estarían por ahí, le tuvimos que comprar un shampoo especial y darle algunos baños extra para que esas garrapatas dejaran a Misty en paz.
También le recojo sus necesidades, la paseo cuando puedo ya que es muy inquieta y no puedo pasearla sin caerme (de hecho, creo que ella me pasea a mí), le hago la comida, se la compro, le corto sus pelitos, le corto las uñas y mi actividad favorita es bañarla ya que ambas nos divertimos mucho, aunque siempre al comienzo no quiere bañarse. Los constantes cuidados son una gran muestra de amor, ya que siempre estoy pendiente de su salud y necesidades.
Every pet needs care and that is something I am very aware of with Misty. She arrived with some little balls in her ears which I felt and quickly notified my parents so I could operate her and get her better in time. I put her ear drops in her ears periodically and have been cleaning them since that day. She also got ticks and with all the pain I had to keep her from riding on my bed to sleep or the ticks would be around, we had to buy her a special shampoo and give her some extra baths so those ticks would leave Misty alone.
I also pick up after her, walk her when I can since she is very restless and I can't walk her without falling down (in fact, I think she walks me), I make her food, buy it the food for her, cut her hair, trim her nails and my favorite activity is bathing her since we both have a lot of fun, although she always doesn't want to take a bath at first. The constant care is a great sign of love, since I am always looking after her health and needs.
𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢ñ𝐨 | 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
En donde vivo somos tres, mi mamá, mi papá y yo, realmente ella es apegada a los tres, aunque mis padres están de acuerdo de que Misty tiene una conexión muy estrecha y especial conmigo. Siempre duerme conmigo, llora cada vez que salgo y siempre me acompaña cuando me siento mal. También me acompaña cuando estudio violín, a veces se pone a aullar y es muy divertido. Es muy lindo tener su compañía ya que me hace sentir menos sola.
Siempre que estoy con ella le hago cariño, la abrazo y juego con ella, me parece tan adorable y además, es lindo que siempre quiera estar conmigo. Casi siempre esta dormida mientras hago otras cosas y es tan tierna que siempre le tomo fotos durmiendo. Otra cosa interesante y graciosa, es que Misty me defiende de todo, cuando mi mamá me regaña o mi papá me hace cosquillas para fastidiarme, ella sale a ladrar y a veces gruñirles para evitar que me pase algo (aunque no sea grave), cosa que a mis padres les sorprende. También me acompaña cuando estoy enferma y en cama, en esas ocasiones solo se va de mi cama para comer y hacer sus necesidades, luego de eso regresa a acostarse al lado mío. Siento que todo el amor que recibo ella lo demuestra de manera recíproca a su manera.
Where I live there are three of us, my mom, my dad and me, she is really affectionate to all three of us, although my parents agree that Misty has a very close and special connection with me. She always sleeps with me, cries every time I go out and always accompanies me when I feel bad. She also accompanies me when I study violin, sometimes she starts howling and it's a lot of fun. It is very nice to have her company as it makes me feel less lonely.
I always cuddle her, hug her and play with her whenever I am with her, I find her so adorable and besides, it's nice that she always wants to be with me. She is almost always asleep while I am doing other things and she is so cute that I always take pictures of her sleeping. Another interesting and funny thing is that Misty defends me from everything, when my mom scolds me or my dad tickles me to annoy me, she comes out to bark and sometimes growl at them to prevent something from happening to me (even if it's not serious), which surprises my parents. She also accompanies me when I am sick and in bed, on those occasions she only leaves my bed to eat and do her needs, after that she comes back to lie next to me. I feel that all the love I receive she reciprocates in her own way.
𝐀𝐲𝐮𝐝𝐚 | 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩
Ella fue un gran soporte emocional para mí. He contado en distintas ocasiones que sufro de ansiedad y ataques de pánico, cosa que no es fácil de lidiar, pero aunque no lo crean Misty ha sido de gran ayuda para esas ocasiones. La entrenamos nosotros mismos para que me ayude cuando tengo ataques de pánico, ya que se monta en mis piernas y se acurruca para distraer el ataque y acariciarla, cosa que funciona. También ha ayudado en momentos en los que mis padres se enferman o en algunos accidentes.
Algo interesante es que parece que ella siente las emociones de nosotros, ya que cuando estoy muy triste ella se pone a mi lado, me da la pata o pone su cabeza en mis piernas, incluso cuando lloro, lo primero que hace es lamer mis lágrimas como a modo de decir "no llores humana, no vale la pena, yo te seco las lágrimas". Ella deja que la abrace cuando estoy mal y aunque no hable, siento que me apoya mucho cuando me siento mal, creo que una mascota hace que nuestras vidas estén mucho más llenas de amor.
She was a great emotional support for me. I have told on different occasions that I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, which is not easy to deal with, but believe it or not Misty has been a great help on those occasions. We train her ourselves to help me when I have panic attacks, as she rides on my lap and curls up to distract the attack and pet her, which works. She has also helped at times when my parents get sick or in some accidents.
Something interesting is that she seems to sense our emotions, as when I am very sad she will lay next to me, give me a paw or put her head on my legs, even when I cry, the first thing she does is lick my tears as if to say "don't cry human, it's not worth it, I'll dry your tears". She lets me hug her when I am bad and even if she doesn't talk, I feel that she supports me a lot when I feel bad, I think a pet makes our lives much more full of love.
𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐫 | 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞
El amor que le tengo a mi mascota es inmenso, ha estado conmigo durante 8 años y espero pasar otros años más con ella. Jugar con ella me llena de vida y ver como ella siempre es feliz es algo que me contagia. Agradezco muchísimo que haya llegado a mi vida y sé que ella es feliz, lo cual es lo que más me importa. Me gusta cuidarla, hacerle su comida, bañarla, jugar con ella, que me acompañe al dormir y que siempre esté conmigo. Es muy adorable, de hecho, siempre intento tomarle fotos aunque es la perrita menos fotogénica que existe porque siempre está jugando, eso explica porque casi todas las fotos que comparto de ella, son durmiendo.
Le demuestro amor todos los días, y no solo yo, también mis padres ya que ellos aman a Misty, incluso mis amigos (hasta los que no les gustan los perros) han sido cautivados por Misty, porque es un ser lleno de amor, cariño y luz. Espero compartir mucho más tiempo con ella y seguir demostrándole el cariño tan grande que le tengo. La mascotas son seres capaces de robarse nuestro corazón de manera increíble y hermosa, puede que a veces podrán hagan popó en la alfombra, pero jamás harán popó en nuestro corazón, y siempre llenaran nuestra ropa de pelitos, pero son pelitos de amor.
The love I have for my pet is immense, she has been with me for 8 years and I hope to spend more years with her. Playing with her gives me life and seeing how she is always happy is something that is contagious to me. I am very grateful that she has come into my life and I know that she is happy, which is what matters most to me. I like taking care of her, feeding her, bathing her, playing with her, having her sleep with me and always being with me. She is very adorable, in fact, I always try to take pictures of her even though she is the least photogenic dog ever because she is always playing, that explains why almost all the pictures I share of her, are sleeping.
I show her love every day, and not only me, but also my parents since they love Misty, even my friends (even those who don't like dogs) have been captivated by Misty, because she is a being full of love, affection and light. I hope to share much more time with her and continue to show her the great affection I have for her. Pets are beings capable of stealing our hearts in an incredible and beautiful way, they may poop on the carpet sometimes, but they will never poop in our hearts, and they will always fill our clothes with little hairs, but they are little hairs of love.
