A few days ago, I had told you about the "papillomitosis" in Tekila's mouth, everything was going very well, but, this week the papilloma started to grow more, she started to make some small ramifications on the same papilloma. I took her to her veterinarian, who decided that we must remove it, because it is growing again and that is not good, so on Tuesday we have an appointment at 8:30 am, where they will remove this papilloma with an electro-scalpel. According to what the vet explained to me, it is a simple procedure with local anesthesia.
Hace unos días, les había contado sobre la "papilomitosis" en la boca de Tekila, todo iba muy bien, pero, esta semana el papiloma empezó a crecer más, se le empezaron a hacer unas ramificaciones pequeñas sobre el mismo papiloma. La lleve donde su veterinaria, quien decidió que debemos quitarlo, porque, nuevamente está creciendo y eso no es bueno, por eso el martes tenemos cita a las 8:30 am, donde le quitaran este papiloma con un electro-bisturí. Según me explicó la veterinaria, es un procedimiento sencillo con anestesia local.

But today I didn't come to talk about this but about the games and how the age difference between Iris and Tekila influences this issue. Iris is 2 years old and Tekila is 10, so the latter is a geriatric canine, but she likes to play and needs to exercise for her health.
Pero hoy no venía a hablar de esto sino de los juegos y como influye la diferencia de edad de Iris y Tekila en este tema. Iris tiene 2 años y Tekila 10, por lo que esta última es una canina geriátrica, pero que le gusta jugar y necesita hacer ejercicio por su salud.
The other day I read that dogs, when they are very different in age, should have special spaces for each other. That's why Iris, who is crazy, playful and young, goes in the mornings to a kennel to play with other dogs. Meanwhile Tekila stays with me and we go to the park for an hour to play with the ball. The good thing about this is that Tekila plays at her own pace, rests when she wants, plays, lies on the grass and I really see that she enjoys this time in the park.
El otro día leí, que los perros, cuando tienen mucha diferencia en su edad, deben tener espacios especiales para cada uno. Por esa razón es que a Iris, que es loca, juguetona y joven, va en las mañanas a una guardería canina a jugar con otros perros. Mientras tanto Tekila se queda conmigo y vamos 1 hora al parque, a jugar con la pelota. Lo bueno de esto, es que Tekila juega a su ritmo, descansa cuando quiere, juega, se recuesta sobre el prado y realmente yo veo que ella disfruta ese rato en el parque.

So far, everything is wonderful, but, on weekends Iris does not go to her doggy daycare in the mornings and the three of us go to the park to play. This is where Tequila's anger begins, because due to the anxiety that this generates, she starts to eat grass.
Hasta ahí, todo es maravilloso, pero, los fines de semana Iris no va a su guardería canina en las mañanas y vamos las tres al parque a jugar. Aquí empieza el enojo de Tequila, porque por la ansiedad que le genera esto, empieza a comer césped.

The problem with Tekila, is that she doesn't pull out a few branches, but tears out a large portion of grass from the root, leaving huge holes in the park and eats them. When she does this, she runs away so I can't catch her.Although it is said that eating grass is good, it must be taken into account that this grass is not clean, many dogs come here to poop and poop, so it could end up causing health problems.
El problema con Tekila, es que ella no saca unas ramas, sino que arranca una gran porción de césped desde la raíz, dejando unos huecos inmensos en el parque y se los come. Cuando hace esto, sale corriendo para que yo no la alcance. Aunque se habla de que comer pasto es bueno, hay que tener en cuenta que este césped no es limpio, aquí vienen muchos perros ha hacer chichi y popo, por lo que podría terminar generando algún problema de salud.

Even Iris is amazed by Tekila's behavior, because the holes in the park are really big.
Hasta Iris se queda asombrada del comportamiento de Tekila, porque los huecos en el parque son realmente grandes.
Now, that I see that this behavior is constant, where from Monday to Friday Tekila plays quietly, but on weekends is dedicated to tearing up the lawn, is that I understand the importance of giving each dog a special play time, where they can be quiet. Iris enjoys a lot at the daycare, she goes alone in the morning from 8 am to 11:30 am, they always send me videos, photos, also this month her best friend Nala started to go, so she is having a lot of fun and this way, I can give Tekila some play time in the park.
Ahora, que veo que este comportamiento es constante, donde de lunes a viernes Tekila juega tranquila, pero los fines de semana se dedica a arrancar el césped, es que entiendo la importancia de darle a cada perro un tiempo especial de juego, donde puedan estar tranquilos. Iris disfruta mucho en la guardería canina, va solo en la mañana de 8 am a 11:30 am, siempre me envían videos, fotos, además este mes empezó a ir su mejor amiga Nala, así que se está divirtiendo mucho y así, yo le puedo dar un rato a Tekila de juego en el parque.

My conclusion today is that, when we have pets, we should always try to provide play spaces for each one according to its age, so that we can guarantee the welfare of each one.
Mi conclusión hoy, es que, cuando tengamos animales de compañía, tratemos siempre de brindar espacios de juego, a cada uno según su edad, para que así podamos garantizar el bienestar de cada uno.
