[ENG] The Importance of Combing Our Pets | [SPA] La Importancia de Peinar a Nuestras Mascotas

[ENG] A pleasure to say hello, Hive Pets community!

Since I have introduced all of my pets, I want to start sharing what I have learned with them for the purpose of generating useful content for pet lovers.

So today I will talk about the advantages of constantly combing our pets from my experience.

[ENG] From Kafu's first visit to the vet, when we learned that his breed was Alaskan Malamute instead of Husky, the doctor recommended that we comb him every day from an early age, in this way he would quickly get used to the brush and over time he would enjoy it, and when it was bigger and stronger you wouldn't have to fight with it to comb it.

Another advice from the veterinarian at that time was that when combing it, pass the brush 2 times in the opposite direction to the natural hairline, for each time it passed in the natural direction of the hair. This is due to the fact that these dog breeds have two layers of hair, one with thick and short strands (internal) and the other with long and thinner strands (external), so by following these instructions the dead hairs can be removed from both. layers, thus avoiding knots.

[ENG] By putting the vet's instructions into practice, and with the help of the time that the experience generated, I have been able to discover some advantages of being consistent with pet grooming:

  • It keeps our pets looking good and I am sure it makes them feel more comfortable.

  • The mantle of our pets can better fulfill its function of protecting against the weather, without suffocating them.

  • Tightens the ties between us and our pets, generating even more trust in us.

  • Makes it easier and more relaxing for our pets to check for ectoparasites.

[ENG] Here I leave you a recent video combing Kafu's hair and some photos of how it turned out.
