Y hablo de los seres humanos inclusive. Claro está que algunos somos más afines, y hacemos nuestras tribus y comunidades que se diferencian de los otros y tenemos objetivos diferentes. Los animales tienen sus normas sus jerarquías y sé que muchos de nosotros nos quedaríamos atónitos de cómo se comportan, ya que parecen más racionales que algunos de nosotros.

Yo considero que deberíamos aprender mucho de ellos. Siempre podemos aprender de todo lo que nos rodea, Eso es lo maravilloso de estar vivos.

De cómo Fito llegó a mi vida

Pues todo se remonta a 20 años atrás al menos. La verdad siempre me gustaron los perros y a mi hermana Lorena también. El problema era mi madre. Que simplemente no los soportaba. Que decía que vivíamos en un apartamento, que si patatín que si patatán.

Finalmente, surgió una posibilidad. Era algo increíble mi tío le dijo a mi mamá que si perrita tenía cría y que le iba a regalar uno. Hasta me enviaron fotos para escoger uno. Pero yo no lo creí hasta que ese hermoso cachorro de 4 meses llegó a casa me dijeron que nació del 7 de enero.

Que emoción. Ahí empezó la aventura, Él se volvió el príncipe de la casa y todos fuimos aprendiendo con él. Aún recuerdo la primera vez que levanto la pata para hacer pipí. Lorena y yo nos quedamos frías diciendo: ¿Dónde aprendió eso? Realmente todo era algo nuevo para nosotras. Fito Antonio, con ese nombre poderoso se volvió el hombre de la casa.

La verdad lo pensaba llamar Grafito, haciendo alusión a mi carrera, la geoquímica, pero luego de que Lorena me dijo que los perros debían tener nombres de 2 sílabas, opté por Fito. Porque además así se llama uno de mi cantante favorito Fito Páez y también es la forma en la cual los biólogos marinos y oceanógrafos se refieren al fitoplancton, así que simplemente fie el nombre ideal. De esta manera Fito no sólo llegó a mi vida sino que inundó con su amor y presencia todos los espacios.

Desde entonces he desarrollado una sensibilidad inmensa por los animales. Y les hablo como si entendieran la verdad yo creo que lo hacen. Comparto con algunos perritos callejeros, los alimento de vez en cuando y nos acompañan a pasear.

Saludo a las salamandras o “limpiacasas”, también me acostumbré a tener un sapo en la jardinera, al cual llamo “Sapo” por cariño. Tal vez muchos no lo entiendan y me dicen que es malo y que yo, pero mi respuesta es: el está haciendo su trabajo déjalo tranquilo.

A veces me paso un rato mirando la naturaleza o a los animales, es muy reconfortante. Me encantan las libélulas y las mariposas. Me quedo escuchando las aves surcando los cielos con esa sensación de inmensidad y libertad que me maravilla. También me gustan los pelícanos.

Todos estamos llamados a cuidar de los animales

Yo creo que el hecho de que estemos en la Tierra y que seamos seres conscientes nos debe hacer más sensibles, no da un poco de responsabilidad además pata ayudar a los más indefensos.

How Fito came into my life
