Hace mucho tiempo quería presentar a MIKA, sin embargo quienes tienen mascotas, saben lo difícil que resulta intentar capturar su escencia en imágenes. Y fue la razón que hizo francamente largo su debut en "Hive Pets Community" Vamos ¿quién no querría presentar a sus mascotas con la mejores imágenes que sean posibles? Solo que MIKA es muy diva ella, o mejor dicho, tan inquieta como puede ser cualquier perro menor de dos años.

¿Cómo llegó a mi vida? Fueron circunstancias forzadas. Ya teníamos dos gatos (Catirito y Tomás) y dos perros (Dana y Ashlam), cuando nuestro segundo hijo decidió emigrar de Venezuela. Era el último acá en el país. Trabajaba en el Oriente y residía en Barcelona, Estado Anzoátegui. MIKA es hija de una perrita que cuidaba las instalaciones de la empresa donde trabajaba mi hijo. Él tomó a MIKA de una camada que parió la perrita y la adoptó como suya. Al partir él de nuestro país ¿adivinen a quién le quedó la responsabilidad de cuidar a la "nieta"? ¡Los abuelos!
How did it come into my life? It was forced circumstances. We already had two cats (Catirito and Tomás) and two dogs (Dana and Ashlam), when our second son decided to emigrate from Venezuela. He was the last here in the country. He worked in the East and lived in Barcelona, Anzoátegui State. MIKA is the daughter of a little dog that guarded the facilities of the company where my son worked. He took MIKA from a litter that the dog gave birth and adopted her as his own. When he left our country, Guess who was left with the responsibility of taking care of the "granddaughter"? The grandparents!

La llegada de MIKA a nuestro hogar insufló de nueva energía el ambiente. Los perros mestizos tienen vidas duras en la calle e imagino que mucha de esa vida difícil, es guardada en forma de recuerdos en el cerebro reptil de la mascota. MIKA reflejaba esa vida dura en muchos de sus actos, sin embargo, el haber caído en gracia de mi hijo y el cariño que él le prodigó, comenzó hacer el proceso de sanación mental para MIKA.

Mi hijo la tuvo difícil durante el tiempo que estuvo allá en Barcelona, porque él vivía en apartamento y se apegaron mucho el uno al otro ¿cómo creen que reaccionaba MIKA cuando él salía a trabajar? ¡Destrozaba lo que conseguía en el apartamento! My son had a hard time during the time he was there in Barcelona, because he lived in an apartment and they got very attached to each other. How do you think MIKA reacted when he went out to work? A dog the size of MIKA needed space and she got it at home.
Cuando él finalmente partió, MIKA estuvo un par de semanas triste, pero se recuperó. Tienen mucha energía. Todavía no se deja poner la correa para sacarla a pasear y nos asusta sacarla sin ella. Las veces que se ha escapado ha sido muy difícil convencerla de entrar de nuevo. Todo eso se le quitará porque pedí a mi hijo que enviara una nueva correa, puesto que las de casa las ha roto en su intento por quitársela. Es muy grande para las que había (y quizás de mala calidad). Así de fuerte es.
When he finally left, MIKA was sad for a couple of weeks, but he recovered. She has a lot of energy. She still won't let us put her on the leash to take her for walks and we are scared to take her out without it. The times she has run away it has been very difficult to convince her to go back in. It's too big for the ones that were there (and maybe poor quality). That's how strong it is.

Dana is too old (17 years old) and Tomas, well, Tomas is an average cat, nothing interests him and he doesn't make noise. So MIKA is young and will have many years to delight us.
Una de las manías más remarcables que tiene MIKA es el no dejarme caminar, desde mi cuarto hasta la cocina, si no la acaricio ¡Es increíble! Se planta en mi camino y no me deja avanzar hasta que la toco. Tendrían que verlo para creer. Si le saco el cuerpo a un lado, se mueve y me vuelve interrumpir el paso. No sé ustedes, pero a mí me hace muy feliz el que yo le importe tanto. Supongo es algo que nos une a todos quienes tenemos mascotas. MIKA es la mascota perfecta.
One of the most remarkable manias that MIKA has is not letting me walk, from my room to the kitchen, if I don't pet her, it's unbelievable! She plants herself in my way and won't let me move forward until I touch her. You would have to see it to believe. If I move her body to the side, she moves and interrupts me again. I don't know about you, but it makes me very happy that she cares so much about me. I guess it's something that unites all of us who have pets. MIKA is the perfect pet.
