Today I come to introduce you to Osito, the cat that lives here in my family's house.

Hoy vengo a presentarles a Osito, el gato que vive aquí en la casa de mi familia.

[ENG] My mother with my uncle found him in the emergency room of a hospital here in Cumaná, my mom was accompanying my uncle that day when in a mysterious way the little cat appeared caressing their legs, when they saw this they decided to adopt him and bring him home.

[ESP] Mi madre con mi tío lo encontraron en la emergencia de un hospital de aquí de Cumaná, mi mamá estaba acompañando a mi tío ese día cuando de forma misteriosa apareció el pequeño gato acariciando las piernas de ellos, al ver esto ellos decidieron adoptarlo y traerlo a casa.

[ENG] Osito has been here at home for about a year, here he does funny things although sometimes he is very violent with his claws or bites.

At home we were not cat loving people, those who have adopted always go "in love" or die in an accident; so we had given up having cats we only had dogs, today Osito has been our center of attraction because he has been at home and has remained in our home, the most important thing about having a pet is to love them, respect them and always be responsible in taking care of them.

[ESP] En casa no éramos personas amantes de los gatos, los que hemos adoptado siempre se van "enamorados" o mueren en un accidente; así que habíamos renunciado a tener gatos sólo teníamos perros, hoy Osito ha sido nuestro centro de atracción porque ha estado en casa y se ha quedado en nuestro hogar, lo más importante de tener una mascota es quererla, respetarla y ser siempre responsable en su cuidado.

[ENG] Cats and dogs can be really different in many aspects, but without a doubt when they live in a home their way of coexistence becomes tolerable.

Of the most interesting things about Osito I can tell you that he is very playful, he spends the night jumping on the roofs and then he comes back home during the day resting although sometimes he gets in trouble with other cats because he likes to mark territory or steal things, other cats have already made him run so I can also tell you that this cat has a strange temperament because sometimes he is very sweet and other times he is aggressive biting or tearing.

[ESP] Los gatos y los perros pueden ser realmente diferentes en muchos aspectos, pero sin duda cuando viven en un hogar su forma de convivencia se hace tolerable.

De las cosas más interesantes de Osito les puedo decir que es muy juguetón, se pasa la noche saltando en los tejados y luego vuelve a casa durante el día descansando aunque a veces se mete en problemas con otros gatos porque le gusta marcar territorio o robar cosas, otros gatos ya le han hecho correr así que también les puedo decir que este gato tiene un temperamento extraño porque a veces es muy dulce y otras veces es agresivo mordiendo o rasgando.

[ENG] As for his curiosity, it is funny to see him when he is sitting on the chair of the house phone when it rings he starts to move the phone and also the ability he has to hide when he is playing with nina, the dog of the house.

About his territoriality, it is curious to see how Osito has marked his space where nina does not reach, it is also curious how he can be close but not very close to nina.

[ESP] En cuanto a su curiosidad, es gracioso verlo cuando está sentado en la silla del teléfono de la casa cuando suena empieza a mover el teléfono y también la habilidad que tiene para esconderse cuando está jugando con nina, la perra de la casa.

Sobre su territorialidad, es curioso ver como Osito tiene marcado su espacio donde nina no llega, también es curioso cómo puede estar cerca pero no muy cerca de nina.

[ENG] As for his character, when Osito demands his food dish he becomes very annoying because he makes a lot of noise to get his food, my cousin scolds him a lot because at night he gets into the rooms and rolls up in the blankets or gets under the pillows.

[ESP] En cuanto a su carácter, cuando Osito reclama su plato de comida se vuelve muy molesto porque hace mucho ruido para conseguir su comida, mi prima lo regaña mucho porque en la noche se mete en las habitaciones y se enrolla en las cobijas o se mete debajo de las almohadas.

One of Osito's favorite games is to watch the other cats from places where he seems to be hiding, he does this with a hunting spirit and does not show fear, I have come to think that he watches them and controls that everything is in order with them.

Uno de los juegos favoritos de Osito es vigilar a los demás gatos desde lugares donde parece estar escondido, lo hace con ánimo de cacería y no muestra miedo, he llegado a pensar que los vigila y controla que todo esté en orden con ellos.

Anyway, no matter if they are cats or another species, when we have them we must treat them well, teach them, give them love and care for them, having a pet is beneficial because you develop a bond in which I could say that you treat them as a member of your family, I have heard that it is beneficial to have a pet because it helps you develop empathy and improves your mood, my husband says that it is therapeutic.

En fin, no importa si son gatos u otra especie, cuando los tenemos debemos tratarlos bien, enseñarles, darles cariño y cuidarlos, tener una mascota es beneficioso porque desarrollas un vínculo en el que podría decir que lo tratas como un miembro más de tu familia, he escuchado que es beneficioso tener una mascota porque te ayuda a desarrollar la empatía y mejora tu estado de ánimo, mi esposo dice que es terapéutico.
