A few weeks ago the II Expo Vica was held in my city, I had the opportunity to attend, see and learn about the different sheep species that are bred in the state, something that for me was an incredible and wonderful experience, as I had never been in one. When I arrived at the fair, I could feel a different atmosphere, many people, all of them happy and above all the characteristic smell of these animals, everything was very tidy and clean, I could see how many families were sharing this fair with their children. So I started the tour to visit each stand where there was a different species, there were from small to very large pups, some of them I was a little afraid to approach even though they are harmless.
Hace unas semanas se celebró en mi ciudad la II Expo Vica, tuve la oportunidad de asistir, ver y conocer las diferentes especies ovinas que se crían en el estado, algo que para mí fue una experiencia increíble y maravillosa, ya que nunca había estado en una. Al llegar al lugar de la feria se podía sentir un ambiente distinto, mucha gente todos alegres y sobre todo resaltaba ese olor característico de estos animales, todo estaba muy ordenado y limpio, podía ver como muchas familias compartían con sus hijos esta feria. Así que comencé el recorrido para poder visitar cada puesto donde estaba una especie distinta, había desde crías pequeñas hasta muy grande, a algunas me dio un poco de miedo acercarme a pesar de que son inofensivos.
As I walked through the various aisles where these animals were, I noticed that they were enclosed in small corrals made of wood, of course all provisional and with some straw on the floor, but very nice all, so they would not be mistreated and could be comfortable during the days of the exhibition. You can know and learn a little of the various species that were at the fair, but I do not remember their names very well, because for me they were all identical, although each one had a different skin color, some had horns, spots, some large, some small, well various characteristics according to their species, it was really fun to visit them, touch them and feed some of them.
A medida que iba caminando por los diversos pasillos donde se encontraban estos animales, pude notar que estaban encerrados en pequeños corrales hechos con maderas, claro todo provisional y con algo de paja en el piso, pero muy bonitos todos, para que no se maltrataran y pudieran estar cómodos durante los días de la exposición. Puede conocer y aprender un poco de las diversas especies que estaban en la feria, pero no recuerdo muy bien sus nombres, ya que para mí todo eran idénticas, a pesar de que cada uno tenía un color de piel distinto, algunos tenían cuernos, manchas, unas grandes, otras pequeñas, bueno varias características de acuerdo a su especie de verdad que fue muy divertido visitarlos, tocarlos y alimentar algunas.
Being those hours surrounded by that large number of animals was something incredible, I really did not think I was going to spend as much time as I did, not only to take pictures, but to know a little more about the history of each animal and of course the various products obtained from the production of these animals, such as cheese, milk, wool was something incredible what you can learn in these fairs and of course see the pups that were present, they were very cute and small, provoked to bring one and raise it as a pet.
Estar esas horas rodeado de esa gran cantidad de animales fue algo increíble, de verdad que no pensé que la iba a pasar también como la pase, no solo por tomar fotos, sino conocer un poco más allá de la historia de cada animal y por su puesto los diversos productos que se obtienen de la producción de estos animales, como por ejemplo, queso, la leche, lana fue algo increíble lo que se puede aprender en estas feria y por su puesto ver las crías que estaban presentes, eran muy bonitas y chiquitas, provocaba traerse una y criarlo como mascota.
In addition, there was a stand where you could see the number of medals and awards that some of the farms that were participating in the fair had, showing the love, affection and dedication they have for their animals, raising them, being aware of them in order to participate in the various events that took place during the days of the exhibition. Something that really caught my attention is that there was a very rare space that only one farm had, only one farm had it, due to the fact that it is a sheep species that needs certain special conditions, adequate space and adequate food to keep it alive. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
Además, había un stand donde se podía ver la cantidad de medallas y reconocimientos que tenían algunas fincas que estaban participando en la feria, allí se demuestra ese amor, cariño, dedicación que le tiene a sus animales, criarlos, estar pendiente de ellos para poder participar en los distintos eventos que se realizaron durante los días de exposición. Algo que me llamo mucho la atención es que había una espacie muy rara, que solo la tenía una finca, solo la tenía una finca, por el hecho de ser una especie ovina que necesita ciertas condiciones especiales, un espacio adecuado y una alimentación adecuada para que se mantenga viva. De verdad que fue una experiencia inolvidable.
Being that night surrounded by many sheep species was the best, I enjoyed every second I was there, I went to take pictures, many pictures of the animals, plus this time it was just my brother and me. I hope that in Maturin they continue to do this kind of activities more frequently, so we can be more informed, attentive and see how sheep farming grows and develops. Also, to be able to go with the whole family and spend a different and pleasant time, so we know a little more about these species of animals. It was very well organized, maximum security and entertainment activities.
Estar esa noche rodeado de muchas especies ovinas fue lo máximo, disfrute cada segundo que estuve allí, me acerque a tomar fotos, muchas fotos a los animales, además en esta oportunidad solo fuimos mi hermano y yo. Espero que en Maturín sigan haciendo este tipo de actividades con más frecuencia, para así estar más informado, atentos y ver cómo crece y se desarrolla la ganadería ovina. Además, poder ir con toda la familia y pasar un momento diferente y agradable, así conocemos un poco más de estas especies de animales. Estuvo muy bien organizada, máxima seguridad y actividades de entretenimiento.
