Greetings @hivepets community, today I want to tell you the story of a group of friends who rescued a little dog from the street. The love of these people for animals is so great that they never hesitated to help this little angel and transform his life. I want to warn you that some of the images you will see are very strong, since Chado was in very bad condition when they found him, so I apologize in advance and the intention of this post is to show the love for the four-legged angels and not to hurt the feelings of some readers.
Un día mi esposo de camino a casa se encontró con un perrito que estaba muy herido echado en un rincón sobre un charco de sangre como consecuencia de una pelea con otros perros. Muchas personas pasaban por un costado sin ni siquiera detenerse a ver qué le ocurría a este animalito.
One day my husband, on his way home, came across a little dog lying in a corner in a pool of blood after a fight with other dogs. Many people were passing by without even stopping to see what was happening to this little animal.
El caso de Chado era muy duro ya que al ser un perrito de la calle estaba desnutrido y la infección de sus heridas era severa. Sin embargo mi esposo junto a la chica que lo trasladó y un amigo asumieron la responsabilidad de monitorear a este perrito. En un inicio no se sabía si se salvaría, pero la intención al menos era que no sufriera tanto con sus lesiones.
The little dog was breathing heavily and was desperately biting his wounds, perhaps because of the pain they were causing him. It was then that my husband contacted a girl in his animal protection network who was able to come to the place to pick him up and take him to the vet.
Chado's case was very hard since he was a street dog, malnourished and the infection of his wounds was severe. However, my husband together with the girl who took him and a friend took on the responsibility of monitoring this dog. At the beginning it was not known if he would be saved, but the intention was at least that he would not suffer so much with his injuries.
Para nadie es un secreto que los tratamientos de las mascotas son costosos, y en el caso de Chado implicaba una larga estadía hospitalizado y con un tratamiento riguroso. Gracias a Dios lo atendió un veterinario consciente que de un principio les habló claro y determinó que el animalito sí tenía salvación.
Estos tres amigos comenzaron una campaña para recolectar dinero, y a través de las redes sociales expusieron el caso y la receptividad fue tal que el dinero nunca faltó, eso sí ellos fueron muy transparentes ya que llevaron un registro fotográfico de facturas y en especial de Chado para que la gente que ayudó económicamente viera el progreso de este ángel en recuperación.
It is no secret that pet treatments are expensive, and in Chado's case it meant a long hospital stay and rigorous treatment. Thank God he was attended by a conscientious veterinarian who spoke to them clearly from the beginning and determined that the animal could be saved.
These three friends started a campaign to collect money, and through social networks they exposed the case and the receptivity was such that the money was never lacking, but they were very transparent as they kept a photographic record of invoices and especially of Chado so that the people who helped financially could see the progress of this angel in recovery.
Pasó más de un mes, la recuperación fue lenta, pero un buen día Chado (como lo bautizaron mi esposo y sus amigos) fue dado de alta. Uno de ellos lo llevó a su casa como un hogar temporal ya que era un lugar muy pequeño. Sin embargo de inmediato se gestionó su traslado a una de las sucursales de la empresa donde mi esposo trabajaba. Así que Chado alistó sus maletas y se fue rumbo a Barquisimeto. Allí lo estaban esperando personas que lo cuidarían, un lugar gigante para correr y un par de amigos perrunos para jugar.
La vida de Chado dió un giro de 180º, al verlo jamás te imaginarías las lesiones tan horribles que tenía y que estuvo a punto de morir. Chado se adaptó muy bien a su nuevo hogar y fue padre de varios cachorros en tres oportunidades.
More than a month passed, the recovery was slow, but one fine day Chado (as my husband and his friends baptized him) was discharged. One of them took him to their house as a temporary home since it was a very small place. However, they immediately arranged for his transfer to one of the branches of the company where my husband worked. So Chado packed his bags and left for Barquisimeto. There he had people waiting for him to take care of him, a giant place to run and a couple of doggy friends to play.
Chado's life took a 180º turn, when you saw him you would never imagine the horrible injuries he had and that he was about to die. Chado adapted very well to his new home and fathered several puppies three times.
Esta publicación es un tributo a esos héroes anónimos que ayudan a los animalitos, así como mi esposo y sus amigos, hay muchos que se dedican a esta hermosa labor.
