Plain And Simple ..

Molly needed a bath before the big trip to mom-mom's and pop-pop's house. She has been spending a lot of time out in the yard, now that the weather has gotten nicer. She doesn't mind and actually prefers the cool early spring breezes. We often just let her sit or lie down out there in the yard, to enjoy the weather. She eventually comes back inside when she gets bored with it or something scares her.

She likes to sit and stare at the neighbors houses.. hoping for a glimpse of them. Watch it though! If she captures a view of them she will high tail it over there for a quick visit. Luckily they don't mind her and look forward to seeing her. She has one of those faces and personalities that are hard for anyone to resist.. even non-dog types seem to fall in love with little old Molly.

It's Time For Molly's Royal Treatment ..

She'll deny getting spoiled. She may even say we are torturing her. Who doesn't like a little pampering? If you were to ask Molly, she may say that she is that 'Fur Human' who only tolerates bath time. 'Tolerates' being the key word. She doesn't run and hide like her brother Pepper would, but rathe plays dead hoping you won't notice her laying there.

It's best to just grab her and plop her right in the tub without warning. She looks less pitiful that way. Here she is 'Tolerating' the whole wet experience. Man am eye getting the 'Evil Eyes' from her.

It goes pretty quickly. There's not much too her. A suds and rinse to a 7 pound pup doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes. She is so good through it all too. She just sort of stands there. lol

It's now time for the nice soft, warm towel. This part she likes. She would fall asleep if I were to let her all swaddled up in it. Or maybe she is just happy to be out of the water!

One more Molly/Daddy selfie and it's time to get the hair dryer out and get this pup all fluffed up.

Okay.. Moving on. Mommy's hair dryer comes in real handy now. I don't like this part as much as she does. Molly seems to like the warm air, as long as it's not blowing directly into her face. I usually never have to command her to sit still or remain on the towel. She likes it enough to just stay there till the deed is done.

How do you feel Molly? All Warm and Dry?? Are we done??

Then came the big shake down, that officially ended the drying part of this pampering

Now for the brushing! Of course, after I let her out to go pee-pee-potty. She doesn't like this part either.

All dolled up and nowhere to go. Ummmm... Not really! This time we are all dolled up with someplace to go.. Mom-mom's and Pop-pop's house for a little mini vacation.

Stop sitting in the yard and getting all dirty Molly! We need to get the car packed and get on the road! But FIRST.. One last shot. I can't resist it.

In the car and ready to go!.. She's in her comfy spot, right up front and in between the seats. She'll sleep for most of the ride down there, occasionally popping her head up to take a look at her surroundings and what not. Loud trucks and motorcycles always seem to get her attention and make her reconsider her position in the front.

It was a nice trip and visit with my parents. I'll post some pictures soon. I got a few of Molly in among the pretty spring flowers.. if you can believe that. haha.

For me art requires love, honesty and perseverance. In return, it reveals some personal, non-analyzable, and creative untamed passion. For the public, art with its magnificent beauty, improves mood and health and builds better human beings and communities. It engages the intellect, softens the heart, strengthens the soul and frees the spirit.
