Everyday life of our animals

Today we started the morning by cleaning the stork enclosure. The weather has finally become warmer and we are taking advantage of the situation that there is no rain. All these climate changes force us to adapt to new conditions.

On the other hand, I cannot say that such an alternation of rains and warm weather saddens me greatly. I have planted oats in some areas of my yard so dogs and birds can get extra vitamins. As you know, sprouted oats are healthy. I hope the rains will help it germinate.

Just as the sobawis love to "help" me to dig out the flower bulbs that I have planted ("Mom, you lost, but we found!") Stork Beak loves floriculture. More precisely, he loves to walk on my lilies! Of course, the stork weighs a little, but this is quite enough to trample the tender sprouts. Of course, it is impossible to be angry with him.

Bat Draculitta has already fully awakened from a winter sleep and is now gaining weight. Winter sleep is essential for bats. Did you know that a female bat can get pregnant, but that pregnancy only starts to develop under certain conditions? If you do not provide her with winter sleep, you may face the problem of providing food for her and her offspring in the middle of winter.

Parrots are also preparing to hatch their chicks. I found two nests in their aviary. One has five, and the second has seven eggs! With so many, I need to think about how to help feathered parents feed their babies. There is still plenty of time to find and buy special food for baby parrots.
