El tener gatos es algo que amo y definitivamente se han convertido en mi animal de compañía favorito, pero al tener varios suelen presentarse situaciones, aunque hay quien tiene uno y resulta que en algún momento se le diagnostica una patología y se convierte en algo a combatir de por vida.

La semana pasad les comenté de las mejoras de Metra y Akiles, yo estaba feliz, pues ahora me centraría en otras cosas, pero Akiles ha tenido un retroceso o recaída y esto me preocupa porque no es grato para mí verlo de nuevo apagado.

El lunes, cuando se le colocó a Akiles la última inyección de tratamiento, confirme algo que venía ya percibiendo desde hace días, tenía de nuevo mal olor de cuando tiene alguna úlcera en la boca.

Si recuerdan el primer diagnóstico menciono un tumor, esto resonó en mi mente hasta que busque una segunda opinión, pero volvió a mi mente en lo que prácticamente antes de terminar el tratamiento estaba prácticamente igual.

Así que ayer viernes logré llevar a Akiles al veterinario y efectivamente tiene úlceras en la boca, lo que le dificulta comer, le hace salivar mucho y al romperse estas úlceras sangra, sin olvidar el terrible mal aliento que le provoca.

El veterinario recomendó reiniciar tratamiento, pero con otro antibiótico y dos veces al día el único problema es que el antibiótico debe colocarse intramuscular y ni mi esposo, ni yo sabemos colocar ese tipo de inyecciones, así que estamos en la búsqueda de alguien que nos enseñe a colocarle las inyecciones, porque una vez que se comience no se puede parar o habría que comenzar de cero.

No es nada grato para mi ver a mi pequeño de nuevo apagado y acurrucado, no por solo querer dormir, es por malestar y ni hablar de como huele el pobre y donde se acuesta al babear deja ese terrible olor

La verdad yo creo que este minino ha soportado todo lo que le pasa porque tiene una fuerza de voluntad impresionante, porque lo que en realidad complica cualquier cosa en él es la malvada hemobartonela que le ataca desde hace unos años.

Justo ahora estoy buscando alguien que nos enseñe y unos videos de internet para comenzar a inyectarlo y así hacerle su tratamiento porque debe ser evaluado en cuanto lo termine.

En resumen, estoy buscando soluciones y rogando para que Akiles descanse de tanto antibiótico, pues no sale de una situación, para otra, y eso no le ayuda para nada a su ya delicado sistema inmune.
