The Future of 5G Technology and Its Impact on Connectivity

The world of technology keeps advancing and growing at a rapid rate. It is getting usual for me that everyday I come across every new gadgets and this is helping our lives to be more better and easier. There is this particular technological Advancements that recently has make me to think for once the beauty of technology and that is the 5G technology. For some months majorly Nigeria, you should have been hearing about 5G even though it has not yet been all around the area of the country but every day, i always think, how will this new technology Advancements in regards to 5G will affect our daily lives.

When we talk about 5G, many of us didn't even know what it actually means. Well 5G means the fifth generation of the mobile network technology as this is designed to enhance our connectivity with the internet and to help us interact with the world. With 5G, it helps to give us the faster internet speed and I am seeing 5G as the template for the future.

Even though 4G is a fast technology, I will say what makes 5G to be quite so different from the 4G we are used to most especially in Nigeria is you been able to do some stuff on the internet at a faster speed. With 5G, you can be able to download a whole movie irrespective of the number of gigabyte within seconds. There is so much power in 5G and this is the beginning.

Not only that but also one of the things that help 5G to be able to stand out is the fact that it can withstand lot of data at a larger rate much more than 4G and with faster speed. I mean faster speed like 100 times than even the ones 4G offers to us. By this, there will be less delays for us whenever we want to send or receive information. This reduction in latency will benefit you if you are a game lover.
Some weeks ago, I was thinking about the potential impact of 5G on connectivity in Nigeria and I am seeing a great future in 5G.

In Nigeria, one of the constant issues lot of people face in their respective areas is connectivity issues and this is because the internet service can be inconsistent but with 5G been introduced, I am so sure it will definitely address those issues. In fact I will believe the telecom companies are the ones that will benefit the most with 5G. Imagine you are able to attend to those online meetings without not been limited by bad network. By 5G in Nigeria, it will help businesses to thrive and be able to operate more efficiently and this can lead to productivity and growth to increase within the nation.

Talking about the impact 5G will also offer to the healthcare, I will say it will also helps to make rural areas in Nigeria to be able to have access to what I call telemedicine. Telemedicine allows people or patient to be able to consult doctors based on any medical issues without them not travelling. Even farmers can make use of these advanced technologies to be able to monitor their investments as regards crops as that will help to increase the agricultural yield and at the end of the day reduce waste.

Even with those benefits I will like to say there are still challenges that the 5G technology is still facing in Nigeria. I will say one major challenge is the cost of infrastructure. With the quality of 5G technology, it can rely be a huge investment as regards to the expense to even get those equipment and this can even be a massive barrier to a lot of telecom companies. Not only that, there are lots of 5G enabled devices that are really expensive and might not be affordable by just an average Nigerian most especially when you consider that it is at the early stage of adoption.

Talking about the current of 5G in Nigeria, I will say even though there might be challenges right now, I am still so optimistic about the future and this is just the beginning. In years to come, Nigerians will have access to information and more better businesses opportunities and this is due to the fact that there is the availability of 5G technology. Yes even though we might still be at the early stage, I am super optimistic about what the future holds.
