A secret staircase with a teahouse and a drumming school

Greetings friends, today I want to tell you about a slightly strange place. I wandered into it by accident. It was an ordinary winter evening. I was walking along one of the streets of Vasilevsky Island and my attention was attracted by music, as if coming from underground. This was what the street looked like:

I looked around carefully, listened, and realized that the music was coming from a semi-basement window. The main part was played by drums, with the occasional guitar sound added. There was a printed notice on the window: "You can learn to play the drums and sing here!" I had no urgent business to attend to, so I decided to see what kind of drumming school had opened in this old building.

Just outside the entrance, in the lobby, I saw the counter of a small café. There was coffee, rock and milk on sale - whatever that means. Further on it was possible to turn left into an ordinary staircase... that is, this staircase would have been ordinary if it hadn't been for the varied graffiti. Looking at the graffiti, it made sense to pay attention. Looking at it from a different angle, sometimes subtle details became visible, and philosophical questions lurked among the stickers, such as "Where is your emptiness?"

I walked up and down the floors and found some interesting businesses. Behind one of the doors there was a completely black corridor. This corridor led to the entrance to the "It gets dark" photo studio. Another corridor offered a choice of the registry office, the art gallery "Already", and the dance studio "Terpsichora".

A door with a mountain scenery opened to a tea house, where tea ceremonies are held and tea is sold for connoisseurs of exotic versions of the drink. In the basement there was also a door to the same drumming school. A neighbouring door led to a tattoo studio.

There was a website address written on the walls as well as graffiti, and I decided to search at home for information about the history of the place, but found nothing of interest. The website was only partially complete, and a social media search was only slightly more informative. The premises appear to have been fully occupied by an organisation which moved elsewhere some time ago. The premises are probably now rented out at a low price, which explains the motley mix of tenants.
