Hello everyone!!! Today is Friday, which means we will talk about our purchases on #MarketFriday by @dswigle! (see details here: @dswigle/cruising-thru-market-friday)
We had the opportunity to visit a farm shop in the south of the country. It was a very unusual store.
We entered such merry doors and ended up in an art salon! 😀 It was a large room in the center of which stood a long table with a variety of farm products. And around the perimeter of the store there was anything, it’s impossible to list everything 😀
First of all, there were berries on the table: strawberries and blueberries.
Each was $6. It's certainly not cheap, but it was so fragrant that we bought both 😀 Secondly, there were vegetables and herbs: spinach, cumin, mint, etc.
For the first time I saw cumin stems and flowers! I'm used to seeing it only in the form of seeds. The cumin was very aromatic. We asked a woman who works in that store how to use this herb and realized that cumin is delicious with meat and soups and salads. We immediately decided to buy spinach and cumin. We already had mint in the fridge: we bought it earlier in the supermarket, so I decided not to buy mint. Yeah, that's just until the minute my husband shoved a farmer's mint up my nose. Wow!!!!! It was an amazing scent! I realized that in the refrigerator I have anything but real mint! 😁🙈
Yes, we bought mint too! 😁 The price of greens was the same - $ 3 per bunch. There were beautiful yellow flowers on the table. I thought it was decor. But the saleswoman said that these are fresh flowers. I was shocked! 😮
Now I had the opportunity to look around. There were a lot of old things, a sewing machine and even a piano. It was a real museum!
There were very interesting crafts - you can immediately see that this is handmade!
There was a red corner in a red style - everything was red! 💃
Various decorations, small bottles of alcohol. Very cool, they came up with beautifully painted covers and hang them as decor 😀
A lot of the most diverse women's sun hats - choose any! Although I never understood: it was also for sale or it was just there for decoration 😁
I was very impressed with this store. And when I was about to leave, my husband brought me a small glass of berries. I said that we have already bought two whole packages. To which my husband simply offered to smell it. Yes, I immediately surrendered without a fight! 😂🙈
Strawberries do not grow in Israel, so what these farmers have grown is priceless! The aroma was not just amazing, but mega-mega amazing !!!! Yes, it's very expensive here - 3 dollars for such a tiny cup. It was a terrible waste of money on my part, but I do not regret it at all! 😁😀
