Market Friday : Do you enjoy fruits?

Yah hoo!!!
It's Friday and a lovely day for #Marketfriday by @dswigle.

There are some days where a lot of watermelons and other fruits and vegetables are sold by the roadside at cheaper rates.
So, the day came and I decided to visit and see if I can get something for my fruit salad.
Heard these vendors do go to the village to buy the fruits, and once they come back they break their first sell in this street which is close to mine.
The street is located in Umuahia in Abia State Nigeria.
There reasons for selling it here first, is because they are likely to spoil before the main market day.
And since they buy it at a good price from villagers, though they spend much money transporting them down here.
But a good business person applies it's good qualities wisely in other not to loose completely.
I am so grateful to these vendors, for their choice of business which I am benefiting from.

Below are the photos I was able to capture with my Android phone.

The uncut watermelon in ball is sold at $0.96 (#400) each except the one that the size is bigger than others. But the smallest size is $0.96 each, which you can still bargain with the seller.
But once they cut it each size cut in the photo is $0.24 (#100) each, this you can't bargain.

And I also saw this garden egg in different species. To me the greenish one is bitter, some people like it alot. I prefer the other type.
Each portion is $0.12 (#50) for both type.

I also saw this delicious sea snail sold there. Each portion is $0.48 (#200) each.
The okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) is sold at $0.12 (#50) each.

I was able to buy a ball of watermelon and my favorite garden egg before heading back home.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Have a lovely Friday!!
