Hello everyone!
I invite you to join me and visit the Fairy Valley where we can taste the different kind of fruits, berries, sweets and see the Purple Dragon.
In my last post for the #MarketFriday by @dswigle, I promised that I would write more about my favorite supermarket near the Kyiv that called "Valley of Fairies". So, today I show you its fabulous interior design and talk about the prices for the Ukrainian local summer berries. Let's go!
Knock knock! Who lives in this magical house in the forest clearing?
"Hello! It's me, Fairy. Welcome to the Valley of the Fairies!".
Wow! How many juicy fruits and berries are here!
Plums and apricots!
Nectarines and grapes!
Peaches and mangoes!
I'll let you in on a little secret. This supermarket is aimed at children. Here it is like in a fairy tale! You should raise your head and you will see incredible beauty. Adults don't look up so often and many don't even notice the bright interior design of this supermarket. Mostly everyone looks at prices and foods. 😮
It is summer season and the supermarket has many different local berries: black and red currants, raspberries, honeysuckle, cherries, sweet cherries. This year Ukraine has a large harvest of berries. I can safely assure you of this, because in my garden this year there is a fantastic harvest of everything I already listed above.
I buy only blueberries in the supermarket, because this berry does not grow in my garden. But I will tell you a little bit about the prices.
For example, sweet cherries cost $2.50 per kilogram, raspberries cost $3.50 per kilogram, redcurrant cost $3 per kilogram.
Berries are always expensive, because it takes a lot of time to collect a lot of them. In my opinion, it is better to buy live vitamins than, say, sweets. But... 🤔 The assortment of sweets in this supermarket is also eye-popping. 😍
One such chocolate candy costs 30-50 cents, depending on the filling. These candies look so delicious!
A piece of pie or cake costs from 70 cents to $1.5-2.
Do you like chocolate? Especially with nuts. $2 per 100 g and you will feel not only a unique taste, but also your own individuality!
You can spend half a day in the candy department, but it's time to see the Purple Dragon.
This dragon in the supermarket hangs over the department of... Alcoholic drinks! That's why it's so purple! Ha ha! Apparently, the Dragon drinks too much red wine! 😂
But today I will not talk about the wines of this supermarket. This is the topic of a separate post. 🙂
When I was taking all these photos, many visitors paid attention to me, and then looked up with a look of joyful surprise on their faces. Because they discovered a beauty that they hadn't noticed before. It even seemed to me that what they saw lifted their spirits!
So, I wish everyone a great mood and an unforgettable weekend. Thank you for your attention!
